Well another book sold and sent another £6 winging its way to my bank account, the eBay bid currently ha 16 watchers so I am hoping for a bidding war, it's currently sitting at £11.50 considering music magpie were only offering me £1.34 for it I think we've done well :)

Mr el is currently in the bank transferring money over so once that's done I will be going to bed, have been to aldi and spent £9 and also diesel at £40 with double nectar points, our nectar card is currently sitting at £51 and pennies so that's good too :)

Mr el went into to the bank to close the account down and got the usual onslaught of questions, he said look I just do as I'm told by the wife, the girl said who us your wife, he replied mrs el .... The manageress said ohhh mrs el not seen her for a while how is she doing, mr el lets them know etc, the manageress says to the other girl, mrs el is one if those people that knows their money extremely well, we learn from her quite often, to which the girl turned to hubby and described me

Yep hubby replied that's her, oh well says the girl, knowing mrs el that money will be getting transferred into a higher interest account where it will work harder, mr el said can u check its in that account I just put it into, it wasn't I had already moved it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It was however in the new account and she said to mr el, mrs el has move it already and yes she did exactly what I thought she would ... So that'll be 5% before tax then mr el ... He said I don't know ... The two if them both agreed I know what I'm doing and to jut let me get on with it

Mr el came out and told me all about it :)

It's the little things that make me smile :)

Yes, begrudgingly as haven't forgiven their hypocrisy in boasting about no charges for overseas withdrawals - then doing it! I stay with them as tenants all pay rent in there and not sure I trust them to remember a different bank :D.

Yes that was very unforgivable IMHO ... We have our mortgage with them so it makes it easier for us to do our transfers etc to have our money with them, I don't trust Halifax as try have messed up so many things since I tried to change ( still can't get an account for mr el)

This new one will only be good go a year but I fully intend on trying my best to always have £2500 in the account whilst the promotion is running ... No isa's or anything though all the savings is sitting there ... But £100 interest added to my £60 with Halifax and £60 with clarity makes £220 a year ... Not to be sneezed at I don't think

I've noticed banks have no loyalty to me ... So I like to return the favour :)
