What type of quantity were you after? You should look in the mobile wholesale section on eBay.co.uk to see if you can get the 300x300 ones at a good price. You could get them off the o2 website but you may be eligible for free ones when o2 drop the prices to null on their regular offers.[fonefather] - If you would like free independent advice about phones feel free to message me. :j0

There is a normal o2 (you can get their sims from most retail shops) and there is o2 Online.
o2 Online PAYG currently have the following 2 tariffs:-
1) 300 free texts and 1mb of GPRS wap per month.
2) upto 100 xnet mins* and upto 100 texts per month and 1mb of GPRS wap.
All this for topping-up £10 per month but you still get to KEEP the £10 credit which effectively makes it free.
Call charges, etc are the same as the normal o2 you get from the retail shops except if you need to contact o2 online customer services, it is a premium rate number (50ppm). This is basically the reason why they can afford to do this. You can e-mail o2 online instead for free if you wish its just if you want to speak to them then they'll charge the 50ppm.
o2 Online do regular offers for their sims (normally £9.99). These offers are either 99p sims or most likely free sims. The offers generally only last a day so you have to be quick. If you keep checking this forum, most likely when the next offer appears it'll be posted for all to take advantage of. I found the offers are found when logging-out of the either hotmail, or yahoo mail but could appear anywhere.
* The 100xnet mins and 100 texts are shared that is 1min=1text. Basically if you use 60texts, then you only have 40mins of free calls left that month, or if you use 91mins of free calls then you have 9 free texts left that month.
Visit the Pay as You Go tariff section on this page for more info.0 -
We had some free ones running last weekend but the link has now expired!

i have some of these but as i haven't used them in 6 months they have been disconnected - is there any way to get them reconnected without having to get new sim cards?
is there an alternative number for payg than the 50p/min one?0 -

If they have been disconnected (ie can't even ring the top-up line 4444) then you could try customer services and ask them to connect them again. I'm not sure if they will or can (although I don't see why not).
As far as i'm aware no one knows the geographical number for o2 Online PAYG - it's a well-guarded secret. Alternatively, you could e-mail customer services first. Their e-mail is: mycarewebform@o2mail.co.uk. I have found them to be pretty quick at responding to emails - generally around a day.0 -
Is it possible to port a number on to O2 Talkalot free SIM - 300 texts etc ? If so, how do I go about it ?0

It is possible to port any mobile number onto another simcard so long as you are outside any contractual obligations (ie outside your 12 month contract if applicable).
Assuming you already have a simcard on the tariff you want then you will need to ask the current network for a PAC code (Port Authorising Code) and give this code to o2 and say to them that you wish to transfer this number (give them the number you want to keep along with PAC Code) over to the other number (the number that came with the o2 Talkalot free sim 300 text tariff you mentioned)
If you're already on o2 but just transferring from one dept to another (ie ordinary o2 PAYG to o2 Online PAYG) then they should just be able to transfer it without you asking for a PAC code (as it's internal) as I have done in this in the past.
If you are on o2 but don't already have a simcard on the tariff you want then ask them if its possible for them to switch tariffs. They may charge you for this but it's not possible though to transfer you if you are moving from PAYG to contract or vice-versa. In this case you will need to purchase a simcard from them.
Hope this helps0
