No mucking about, I'm looking to jump ship from bethere.
Top of my shortlist is Plusnet £9:99.
I've told them I only need the broadband and allready have a modem-router, so won't be needing the offered one that they value at £40.
They still insist on charging me £25, which I have told them I am not paying, 12 month contract is alright.
Can any one help with a work around
thanks

That's the connection charge, nothing to do with the router.
If you sign up online via Quidco, you'll get a cashback of £20 for broadband anyway, which will only leave you a fiver down.
Or call their bluff on the connection charge. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Macman, what I am saying is that by providing my own modem-router, I save them what they claim is £40 so it can't hurt them to instead overlook the £25 connection charge--It is called haggle/ batter or going tits up0

Yes, but that router actually costs them about a fiver...they buy in bulk by the truckload.
Yes of course you can try to haggle, but if you follow my suggestion you'll save £20 anyway without having to bother. No free lunch, and no free laptop

no.... the router is yours, if you leave within 12 months tho' you will get charged the £40.0 -
So a router of low value, a year olld, take off listing fees take off postage-is not worth the effort when to many people believe that their in the box ISP one is wonderfull.0

Companies go tits up every day because they do not have enough paying customers.
Pleaseing customers is how you attract and keep them and their friends
Try watching Secret customers on Thursday PM, you might have your eyes opened.

You can haggle as much as you like, but there''s no guarantee that they'll discount the connection fee. If you are so sure that they will, why not ring them and find out, if you want to do it the hard way?No free lunch, and no free laptop
