hi - my MIL would like a tablet, that accepts a SIM, so she can browse the net while staying at her caravan.
she mentioned an ipad, but personally i think she would be hard pushed to justify the cost, as all she will really use it for is for surfing the net, and maybe playing a couple of games
however i have heard horror stories about cheap tablets being slow, clunky and generally nasty!
we are not wanting to go to the total bottom of the markets price range, but not really the £450 for a 3g ipad! Maybe £200-250
any advice? Thanks !

Forget about it, get a Netbook(from £130) and a modem/MiFi(from £12). What exactly would be the point of paying more for a Tablet?
Oh yes...the latest craze.0 -
thanks ND............. this is my view also, but she wants a tablet, so i said i would try and track down the best one, for a decent price. thanks anyway.0

Then a Tablet that takes a USB modem or just use a Mifi with it. You will pay up to £200 more just to have 3G built in. It's a bit silly.0

There is this Lenovo for £150 if she would like a 'brand name'.
But it has a small screen.0 -
Blackbery for £130 from currys and a Mifi thing.0

The Lenovo has a 3G slot.0

Its not a bad price for a tablet, it is only 7 inches OP so is that big enough0 -
Thanks for the replies so far. I don't think a 6" would be big enough. Prob looking for a 10" - thanks :-)0
