Hi,
I recently sold my top end phone on a recycling phone website and the price i got under the damaged phone icon (small crack in the corner of the phone- the phone worked perfectly) and it gave me a price of £235.00 and I thought oh good I will sell it to these people.
About a week later i get an email saying i have got £119.00 for the phone and not the original £235.00, i disputed this and the company said i authorised it via an email (which i never recieved and never authorised) and they went ahead- when i rang and explained what the website offered me and what i had recieved I got a "script" reader! Apparently they do not offer the damaged icon on the website- but my issue is that, that was the reason i went with this company as i was happy with the price for my "damaged" phone so obviously the icon was there.
The outcome has been tough s**t from the company the phone has already been sold and they cant do anything about it, even though i rang them immediately about this issue.
I am absolutely appalled that they charged me £116.00 to fix a screen that did not impact the working order of the phone (as i used it for a while with the screen cracked) I could of claimed the screen on insurance and sold it for much more so i am completely perplexed by this situation and have been completely robbed of money when the website offered me that price on a "damaged" phone!
Please help:mad:

- send them a letter before action giving them 7 days to pay the agreed price;
- submit a claim to the online small claims court.
It is worth saying that you have to pay a fee that is added to the claim if you win, but even if you win it might be not easy to enforce the court decision, especially if the company operates from a shed and doesn't have any assets.0
