I've just realised my new 1% is £73.50 and as I'm now paying £120 additional to minimun credit card payments I will be blasting my way through those percentages each month. That will be an extra 1.5% each month repaid meaning by the end of the year that will be an extra 7.5% repaid
Also ebay proceeds to accrue some more percentages too! Up to £36 so far with 6 items with bids onfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
As well as my crafting I decided to become an avon rep a week ago and have just placed my first order - only problem is that I spent a fortune on stuff I want so I don't think I have earned any commission -
On the plus side my commission earnt paid for some of the stuff I wanted so its not all bad
Still not got to bank to pay in craft earnings :mad:Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

Hi everyone,
Everyone seems to be progressing well. All of my %'s at the moment are just coming from my wages which is all earmarked to go towards my house deposit. I have £4300 and then another £1100 to come on thursday and ill hopefully get another £1200 from my august pay packet.
That doesn't really leave me much to live on so its going to be a frugal month- making sure i make the effort to cycle to work. hmmm in fact some maintenance need to be on my jobs list for today. If I do that every day it will save me about 20 miles a week.
Am going to try and get some stuff together for a boot sale. Ive got loads of clothes to get rod of and anything that doesnt sell can go to a cash for clothes man. Does anyone have any tips on what does or does not sell? Also ive never ebayed before are they some things that sell better on their. I have no kids so no baby/kids clothes or toys to sell. Ive got a load of avon samples from when i was a rep. Hmmm i guess I have better get sorting!!
Still doing a bit of swagging but saving those up for Christmas pressies.
The only other thing I can think of is trying to pick up an evening shift in a bar or readvertising my services as a babysitter. Any ideas would be most helpful. At the moment I am having to look at paying for stuff on my student interest free overdraft which is okay but that ends in September so would rather not use it.
Right time to get organised. Any tips greatly appreciated,
Thanks,

Hello!
School holidays = serious debt busting and saving!
Well, we have had quite a tight month as still not let out/sold OH's property. Fair enough, we took a gamble moving into somewhere new but it's frustrating that despite us saying that we thought the rent seemed too high the estate agents were confident - no viewings says we were right! So first job is to get that looked into.
I have got 3 weeks of work lined up with 2 different jobs, plus lots of surveys to do to save vouchers for presents.
I am adding cc to the list as we paid for things like carpets/dishwasher etc on it. (The Mr T points from this CC are enough to transfer into vouchers for wedding rings!!!!) but this is 0% until Dec so going to pay off a bit each month, putting the money to put off in savings to try and get some interest too.
On the plus side, I have now put away enough for my car lump payment, so everything now can go towards CC then saving for wedding/paying off family loan.
Debt 1: CC £2900 0% paid.
Debt 2: Family £7600/8000 5% paid
Saving 1: £2500/2500, 100% saved!
Am on a mission today to tidy/clean/sort ebay pile and charity shop pile. Here goes.....:rotfl:0 -
