Tudorfan we should be in the 4's too for our credit card this month :) Just waiting for the balance to update so i can work out exactly what i owe, just paid £220 though which is another 3 something percent :)

Got our long awaited laminate this month, so will be learning how to fit that ourselves. Just need the car to be fixed cheaply and all will be well and on track! Im in the slow process of fixing some clothes of mine and the husbands so we have a bit more choice in clothing and i have less of a to-do pile. Im also going to try and list a few things a night on Ebay as the pile of outgrown baby clothes keeps getting bigger!

Hoping once out accountant has sorted our tax stuff out we can apply for a 0% CC to shift the current debt too, its currently at 18% so will make a massive difference to our repayments! fingers crossed!

Hi all, I havn't been doing much %wise this past month, my partner has passed his trailor test :D it cost nearly £700 but it means he can do more work wise and can also pull our caravan. I'm doing extra work this month as someone is in hospital poorly so lots of covers available.. I have paid off the wonga final payment early :j:j which I am really happy about. Now I just have 3 creditors left out of 10, they are Argos £369.99.. MBNA £2663.57 and halifax £846, which do you think I should pay towards first, as I am sending each a payment each week but I want to see more of an impact on one. The argos is pay nothing till October so no interest yet.. My minimum for MBNA is £45 and interest around £17(part of the balance is on 0% - £1820 of it the rest is 2.57%).. I pay extra ontop of the minimum, I managed an extra £100 last month and the halifax is £15 account fee and £30-£33 interest per month? Thanks

But since my last post with my totals I have gone from 45.76% to 47.24% which is really good with what we have had to pay out x I was hoping to be at 50% by the end of June but hopefully by the end of July instead xx

I personally would work on tackling the Halifax debt as it is costing a huge amount to service this debt.

Well done on clearing 7 of your debts.

  • Hi, can I join the 1% challenge?

We've currently got about 18K of debt. Luckily a lot of that is at 0% interest. We've got 8K is in a mortgage overdraft account at 4.5%, and its this debt I'd like to concentrate on for the 1%.

    So:

    How Did That Happen?: 1% = £80

I think I really need some extra motivation with this debt. There's no obligation to make monthly payments, but the monthly interest is about £34. I need to make sure I pay the interest, and then I'd like to pay off as much extra as I can each month.

I've made myself a shiny excel file with 100 boxes ready to be coloured in!

Just off to read the thread and get some inspiration!

Okies, worked out my percentages for debt 1 and debt 2

Debt 1, credit card. £6500/£65 now down to £4649 and 28% paid :j
    Debt 2, overdraft. £2000/£20 now down to £1200 and 40% paid :j

Need to really get my act together as had envisioned both be paid by Xmas. Lets face it, that isn't going to happen now so my new goal is to clear credit card to 54% paid, which is about £3k so £1650 to go and clear overdraft completely (£1200)

I think monthly savings are going to be paid to credit card and sales earnings to overdraft :)

Hoping this weekend is free listing weekend, going to get a load of things listed. Nothing sold on FB for a while, its a bit hit and miss.

Had a lovely (free) Zoo trip today courtesy of the MIL which was nice. We just brought picnic food along, though we did stop at beefeater grill for dinner £18 for the 4 of us, which i didnt think was too bad.

I need to sort my Dads birthday present this week and stock up on cards for up and coming birthdays. Also need to sort school uniform soon as eldest is starting school in September.
