Number of entries into competitions

This rafflecopter competition had 6042 entries to win a blackberry. But as it was daily entry, I tweeted probably about 20 times, so by my reckoning, I have probably about a one in 300 chance of winning, so a lot better chance than some comps at the moment, especially for a good prize like a phone.

It had 436 thanks on MSE and 2504 views.

The only one I know how many entered when I won was last year was run by "Here for A Day" on FB which ran a comp for a Kindle & they just picked one random page liker from all their fans. That was me & there were over 13,000 likers! I was thrilled as hubby had wanted one for his birthday!

Just seen this on the wasgij website - I won a diamond on their comp:

After counting up all the Wasgij ‘Win a Diamond’ promotion entries that were posted in or submitted online through the website – and there were over 9,700 entries in total,

Not a 'comp' but just thought I'd mention... There's a 1 in 116,000,000 chance of winning the euromillions and some people spend a fortune entering!

This finished with

By far the highest percentage of possible MSE entries I have seen.

This one from wage day advance closes in 10 mins and currently has:

544 entries, 401 likes/392 shares for the comp post.
To be in with a chance you have to answer the question correctly, and like and share, so a max of 392 in the running.

MSE thanks 180, so if we've all entered it correctly, 46%.
MSE views 411, suggesting we haven't all entered correctly! (or some have viewed but not entered)

UPDATE 7 May - the odds must have been good - I won £75 from the comp!

Over 900 of you entered our Win A Bathroom Suite Competition during the last month and today a winner has been randomly selected from all the correct entries received before the deadline

The MSE stats were 284 likes & 736 views. so MSE lieks was about 30% of the total.
