Number of entries into competitions

This weeks homebargains FB win a £100 voucher had 33902 likes.

Now about halfway through the dorset cereals monthly competition and so far over 430,000 entries!

With 13 days to go they now have over 505,000 entries, so on course for around 870,000 entries for the month!!

I thought this was quite interesting from an email I received:

Dear Kimberley,

I’m sorry to say that you were not successful in winning a place on a FitforLife Bootcamp in Bath, the prize in the online competition run in conjunction with AtHome Magazine Online throughout February - March 2013.

Nearly 700 people entered the competition which was won by Shirley in Stonehaven

Oddly enough 63 of the total entrants were men which, considering that FitforLife Bootcamps are strictly for women makes it an odd choice of competition to enter; over 10% of them were called David!

I thought 700 was quite low entry but I guess the prize is not for everyone (I would have loved to win it)!

The Dorset monthly has now passed 750,000 entries.

Dorset cereals ended with just over 859,000 entries for their March competition. (343 trees @ 2,500 entries per tree plus a part tree worth just over 1,500 entries)

The current Tetley free tea friday after just over an hour had 1,032 retweets at the same time the comp post on MSE had 74 thanks and 112 views.

In roughly the same time the chance to win some jalapeno wafers had 217 retweets and the post on MSE had 55 thanks and 90 views.

and one more mr freeze goodies 254 retweets 62 thanks, 135 views.

So far the FB comp to "win a £1200 Cyberpower X7-100 Fangbook" closing 30/04 has

13,852 entries 528 views and 177 thanks: Mse entries by views 3.8% by thanks 1.3%

I don't think I want to read any more odds, it puts me off !! so skipped to the end of this thread after reading only a few and am not reading any more x
