I just use an Open Office Spreadsheet I built myself. It's quite complicated, but broadly speaking, I set up a different page/tab for each of the following:

~Balance and limits of my credit cards.
~Current account balance and any forthcoming payments due off it til next payday.
~What I'm planning on spending my wages on when they next arrive.
~Dates and amounts of my direct debits.
    ~Money I'm owed e.g. from Quidco.
~What my OH wants for her birthday.
~Detailed breakdown of gas and electricity bills.

Or how about downloading some free trials of money management software like Ace Money Lite:

    Which link

Aw thanks ally maybe its own spreadsheet is the way to go. I need to do soemthing as its constantly an effort! And am hoping I can get another 0% cc when this one comes to an end and do the whole thing for another year+ :p

    Today I've:

~Been to work for two hours overtime while OH was food shopping down the road. Claimed overtime. Heard on the grapevine I might be getting a cash or vouchers prize next Thu for my hard work last year...only time will tell!

    ~Home-made chinese meal for dinner.

~Blanched (link) and froze whole bag of parsnips OH bought cheap.

~OH and I took everything out of tool cupboard, treated black mould and put everything back. Took us a couple of hours but better than paying for a trade to do it like I would have done in the 'old' days. Just one more cupboard to do and the house is mould-free!

~Fought paranoia all day. Grrrr. Life is never dull in my brain.

~Paid for mystery shop and Quidco Check-ins. Used to reduce debt by £20.

~Home-grown coriander is now big enough to eat. Very nice! Raddishes coming on nicely. Mushroom spoors sewn by OH.

    ~Watched tv with light off.

Got off the train one stop early and walked home from there. 2.8 miles walked instead of just the one mile if I'd walked from my local station. I WILL be ready for my sponsored walk in August.

Done the big shop - a mixture of farmfoods, aldi and Sainsburys, plus dog biscuits from the 99p shop in town. Spent around £45 but at least the freezer is full now. Used a couple of coupons which saved me £2.50 off my shopping, plus 4 free toilet rolls by using my cushelle coupon. Boots at my local station were selling off their chilled goods for 50p so I've bought a sandwich for my train journey tomorrow, as I reckoned I'd probably spend about 50p on the filling if I made my own anyway.

Tea is some defrosted mince & onions with jacket potatoes.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Everyone

Late check in from me but all is well. I have successfully avoided a food shop this week, and my running total on food stands well under £20. Horray!

I am buckling myself in for a busy weekend both with work and at home, so if I dont get in, I'll say hi on Monday!

    Good luck everyone!!
