I currently have Lloyds and BOS Vantage accounts but I'm thinking of applying for some of these to get the 5%.
Is there a requirement of paying in so much a month?
Thanks

The problem with NW is that there is no way you could do FPO without the card reader so having two card reader will help. So do you receive a new card reader ?
I've had 2 new card readers from NW recently, having applied for one joint FlexAccount (for the travel insurance) and a sole FlexDirect each for self and partner. This brings my collection of cardreaders up to 6 from various banks. They are all identical in function and I'm currently using a Tesco branded reader to access Nationwide.
Is there a market for unused card readers?0 -
Thanks. This is new to me and I do not realise but we could actually use card reader from another bank interchangeably to access any account that will need card reader.
Has anyone successfully tried this that card reader from a bank to access account of another bank ?
Yes the card readers all do the same thing (the clever stuff is actually on the card the bank has issued).
I've actualy read the standard they use0 -

According to Wiki -
The CAP readers of Barclays, Lloyds TSB, Nationwide, NatWest, Co-operative Bank/Smile and RBS are all intercompatible
Which leaves Ulster Bank out in the cold0 -
Thanks Innovate, it states that you need to pay £1000 in each month to keep the 5% interest rate active, I assume this is the same as Vantage accounts and doesn't need to stay in the account. I intend to use it purely as a savings account with £2500 in for a year.

I have used an Ulster Bank card in a Nationwide card reader, no probs. The Wiki writers just forgot that Ulster is part of RBS.0
