IKEA is my idea of hell on Earth. Hate how I am made to wander all the way around it to find my way back out. We only ever get to go on a Sunday when it's full of parents who take their kids there for a cheap day out. Only good thing about the place is the meatballs.

I do hate that I have to go all the way through, I end up picking up so much stuff I don't actually need!

Dolly - Oh no, I loved the hotdogs! Plus with them being at the end of the store I could say the BF 'Don't worry, soon we can have a hotdog, an icecream and a lingenberry juice, and go home!'. Makes him sound rather like a child haha! :rotfl:

1 UU so far today - 150 ml St Ives Cream Face Wash. WMBA. Cheap enough but makes my face feel a bit tight. Lovely smell though.

    Can I join in?

I've been a bit too tempted by beauty boxes in the last few months, which I have now got down to 2 monthly subs. I won't be renewing one when it runs out this month. Trouble is I'm a sucker for quality freebies. My last being a Neals Yard handcream given away with this months Marie Claire. In my defense I am using it though. :o

I've started organising my dressing table into hair, face, body groups which has made me see that I really do not need anymore. I have a couple of hatbox's and a drawer full of bargains, and freebies that I must start using up before making any further purchases.

Is that cheating still keeping my monthly beauty boxes whilst using up my surplus. I'm also making up a box for a friend with items that I was given, but won't use.

The £20 or so I'll save each month can go in a savings pot.
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!

  • VALM - thanks for the welcome back. Last month passed in a blur as all my waking moments were spent helping DD1 make sock monkeys for her enterprise stall at school. It was time well spent tho as her group raised £192 for Breast Cancer Uk. For some light relief, here are some that rolled off the production line...

Ruby_eskimo - congrats on the job success
Anyway wondered if anyone knew of any other uses for facial toner or face mask. I have a few bottles and tubs but i'm defo not going to use them so before i bin them does anyone have any ideas what i can use them for.

I use face masks on the back of my hands. I use a scrub first then apply a mask - usually a LE intensive nourishing one as I don't like the smell so would never use it on my face. My hands are lovely and soft afterwards - hope this helps

I have an Amarya box and have it as my monthly 'treat'. Some people may think it is cheating but I don't - we all have different aims for the challenge and it is about finding something that works for you to help you reduce your stash. I couldn't go cold turkey and not buy anything as I love trying new things but others try the cold turkey treatment and it works for them. Just don't let the beauty boxes get out of hand... :)

No more UUs but several splutterers so hope to be back to post soon.

 Just lost a whole post, so annoying!

Just called in to declare a UU from last night - Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Butter - WBA - as Sunshineyday has already said, this is a really comforting scent, I love it, it reminds me of baby powder and is quite subtle, unlike Palmers which I find a bit cloying. Big fan of these body butters generally, have also tried the mango one which is gorgeous too. I prefer them to TBS or S&G as they're not at all greasy and sink in really well. Think I'd go as far to say they're a HG for me, eventually looking forward to trying some of the other varieties once stash is under control - I am getting there!!

Just made a list of boring jobs that need doing but which I keep forgetting about, remembering and then still not doing!! Some are in the spirit of MSE so I really had better do them! Will tackle a few now then a nice soak in the bath I think for my efforts

    Morning.
    Also an in

Percy & Reed no oil hair oil - free with Glamour, I like the mag and am a complete convert to hair oils so for £2 spend I am happy. I tried it this morning and my hair is lovely and bouncy and soft. It does have that strong scent that all their products have but I can't smell it on my hair now but you only need to use a little so maybe that is why.

I was disappointed with the Percy & Reed serum product (can't remember the name of it) I got free with Glamour a year or so ago. Quite tempted to try the oil out though - I too like the magazine so may buy and try it out.

    Congrats to ruby.

Love the sock monkeys kipling monkey - and for a great cause!

I have had a look at what I have got and I have got to stop buying. To sumarise I have:
51 bubble bars (and this does not include the cut up ones in the bathroom)
    41 bath ballistics
    7 kg soap (Lush)
6 bar of other handmade soap
7.25 litres of lush shower gel
    1.2 litres bodyshop shower gel
    2 other shower gels
56 other lush products (massage bar, hair, body products)
170 items plus beauty box items (some bought because I liked them) some full size but mostly sample size
I have 2 beauty boxes still to be unpacked
    3 body butters
And a box under the bed that has a hair products, shampoos, conditioners.
    10 bottles of perfume

I have not listed any products in the bathroom

I have 4 beauty box subscriptions. Amarya comes to an end this month so that will go. I will get this months glossy box (already paid for) and I will have enough points to get April's box free. Then that one will have to stop. Then birch box and luxbox again I need to cut these.

I gave away loads last month to friends and family so I really need to start using and getting rid of things.

My sister is coming down this weekend and I have several items put aside for her (not counted above) and she will also take bubble bars and shower gel from my list above. She is bringing me 3 items back that I gave her last time but she will not use (full size face products).

I will put another box together for a friend as I know she or her daughter will use them.

My lush collection has actually decreased from what I had this time last year but everything else has grown.

I now am going to have to go cold turkey ( do have 4 parcels due and 4 beauty boxes this month) which I still need to add to the above. Oh dear!

Wow, I have total stash envy!! Is it fair to say you're something of a Lush fan then? :p
