U600 vs E900 ?

My current 12 month contract comes to an end within a month (when I try to reclaim my second cashback from themobileoutlet - but that's another story...)

Anyway, I was considering the Samsung D900 - the cheapest deal I could find (on Reestitmutton) was on Vodaphone at £2.50 (effectively free!) after cashback.

However, I have been advised that the U600 may be a better phone; but the best deal I could find was on T-Mobile at £107 after cashback!

But......when I just phoned CarphoneWarehouse to discuss cancelling my current contract they said they could offer me the U600 at just £30 (after Cashback) which sounds like a pretty good deal.

So....I have to decide between the D900 and U600 - both appear to get 5 out of 5 stars from on-line reviews. From what I can see the major difference is that that the U600 is thinner and uses touch-sensitive keys (which some people don't like - personally, I've not had any experience.)

Can anyone else offer any insights to the advantages/disadvantages of the two phones?

Cheers,
Don

I've heard that the D900 is slightly more reliable and also that the U version is having design faults with the screen, not sure if I am helping though!

sounds like a good deal! which network, tariff is this? I'm on the last few weeks of my contract with CPW, would appreciate if you can give me the details so I can ask for the same offer.
  • Gawd yeh, id steer well clear of touch screens - absolute pain and like dipsy said, dials out randomly and is just plain annoying basically! :)
