    Morning all,

Another nightmare sufferer here, I wake up terrified at things that would not bother me during the day :(

Cold but breezy here, will get a wash on on a while, dropping dd at college this morning, then home for a quick tidy round.

Saw my dad yesterday, twas not a good day for him he was very quiet, but did eat a good dinner. Hilstep I hope your dad is ok xx

Chips and something for dinner, there is a bit of pork left, so might give that to OH and dd and I could have an egg.

    Have good days all xx

Morning all, clearing here and the sun is trying desperately to shine.
Today I am visiting my son and doing a bit of DIY around his house and hopefully going out for a coffee with him. Will also go to gym and do a bit of housework.
Reading the posts from all of you who are having trouble sleeping makes me realise how lucky I am to only occasionally have an insomniac night. When my son was young he would only sleep for 30 minutes at a time, so I know what sleep deprivation feels like and how long the day seems when it starts at stupid o'clock. Much sympathy to all who suffer with it.
Lunch will be a snadwich and dinner something involving lamb chops and the remaining vegetables in the fridge. Have some over-ripe bananas in the fruit bowl so might make some banana bread to go in the same oven................not going to help the diet if I do that though is it!!!!
Hugs to all facing problems and to anyone else just wanting one.

    Morning insomniacs and all,

took me ages to get off to sleep last night but when i did, i'd gone. Hubby slept well too which probably helped.
Couples lose 90 minutes of sleep a week bickering in bed about snoring, fidgeting and passing wind

More than a quarter of British couples argue in bed three times a week, each argument lasts 30 minutes
Arguments are caused by fidgeting, snoring, hogging the duvet and not being in the mood for sex

I can very much believe it. Hubby and i were only talking again about single beds again last night. I dont know if single beds would work i think we need seperate rooms!

    "What about sex?" i questioned.
"Thats ok, i'll just jump on top of you in your sleep" was my answer.
"Nothing will change then" i growled.

Moving swiftly on..... jobs for today:

    Bedding
    Vacuum down
Might attempt the windows at some point (but then i might not)
Tea - ran out of potatoes for his Lordships mash so i preboiled some rice last night. We will have a curry tonight and he's making it. Its the only thing he can cook but he handles the wok so much better than me.

Hilstep, so glad your Dad is feeling better.

Oh well, i'd better start. I'll start by stripping my sons bed. In a minute :D

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all,
I haven't been on here for ages so I'm not up to date on what's happening. I have been os whilst absent and that's partly why.
I've been looking after DGDs a lot. DGD2 has a flu virus and is covered in a rash much like Measles, the Dr thought it was too but she has had the MMR. Turns out she has an allergy to Ibuprofen.
Yesterday DGD3 broke out with Chickenpox, I've had here everyday since Monday, and I've been cooking DD & SiL2b's dinners and doing his packed lunch.

Managed to do a stock take of the freezers and cupboards las tnight and blitz the kitchen. Loads of ironing to tackle today mostly DDs and I've a hair appointment this after. We are going to a Wedding on Saturday so it needs a trim, makes quite a change from going to so many Funerals.
It's being held at the Bishops Palace in Wells Cathederal at 5pm !!

Got house insurance to sort out and do a price compare on energy suppliers.

That's about all I can fit in before midnight !!

Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all,

Hugs for all the insomniacs. I'm an ok sleeper, but sleep very lightly, the slightest noise wakes me up. I think it's having had four teenagers, I always have one ear open for comings and goings. Dh on the other hand sleeps like a log, you could drop a small bomb at the bottom of the stairs and he wouldn't wake, he always says its because he has a clear conscience:p
A glorious day here, cold but beautiful sunshine, it makes me feel spring is around the corner.
Have a bit of a headache but am trying to cut down on painkillers so will see if it goes off on its own. Out with dh this morning and then this afternoon, want to call at the library and pop in the charity shops. I'm loving Linda Howard books at the mo, usually a good storyline and a bit of romance.
My ds2 came home last night and had a rare night with us.
Tea tonight is chicken curry rice and naans which we all enjoy.
Still waiting on a new filter for my vac to arrive its driving me mad not to be able to Hoover round, I'm constantly picking up bits.
Anyway enough waffle, have a good Thursday J x

Another one in the insomniacs club here... Is there a grumpy club too? And a crap parent one as well?

Anyway just thought I'd poke my head in. My head isn't on the greatest of places to say the least. Both boys are doing well. Big one is struggling with his eczema at the moment. Has 4 different creams plus bath oil and he is still vert sore and itchy. Miracle cure anyone? Baby is growing Like I don't know what. Getting his balance and starting to sit. Sleeping 12hrs a night these days. Him not me lol

    Anyway hugs to everyone

Morning everyone....this is the only morning I start work later...11.30am...so have been having a browse before I go in. Cleaned my bathroom and done a load of washing, so I'm going to peg that out before I go. Still a bit frosty, but nice and sunny.
Youngest DD went back to school on Monday, but only managed the one day....she is absolutly exhausted. I've been reading an interesting website this morning on Chronic fatigue syndrome....so got lots more info ready for going back to doctors next week. She's been ill for 4 months now and is getting so fed up with it. Good job my mum lives next door, she gets up in the morning and goes into granny's spare bed and stays there while I'm at work. What would we do without grannys?
Can't remember who posted about looking after spotty grandchildren.......that's what my mum was always like when girls were little.....first sign of spots and she's be there so I could go to work! Actually I think they've always preferred being with granny when ill....I'm not the most patient nurse!

    Another news story about sleep,

Is this what happens at your house?

    It is at ours!

Oh dear, that doesn't sound so good. Mr LW does snore, but will turn over onto his side (and therefore go quiet) on request, without even waking up, usually. The only exception is if he's had his mate round, and therefore had a couple of beers or ciders. He doesn't even mind if I wake him to help me move to get up for the loo, or to get me some Oramorph.:A

Talking of sleep, I didn't get much last night; every time I moved even a little, the pain was excruciating.:(

Ah, well, 'tis another day, and I need to get the bedroom dusted today.:D

Jacket spuds with baked beans and veggie hot-dogs for dins tonight, so an easy meal.;)

My CEA card runs out mid March, so at the weekend I need to get a photo done fora new one; I usually go to Sn@ppySn@ps for those sort of photos; meanwhile, Mr LW has decided he wants to go and see "Hansel & Gretel: Witch-hunters" - so we'll probably go on Tuesday; he's on Early shift, and my card will still be valid, so seems like a good plan. I suspect it'll be pure hokum, but hopefully we'll enjoy it.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
