Burning audio CD's

There are millions of burning software out there.
When you buy a burner you get a free version of Neo (lite I think).
Nero is the easiest and most know - just get the free version, but there are so many applications that can burn auio CDs - I personally would never use Win Media Player to burn OR Rip!
Nero can burn most audio types (as long as you have codec) firectly to audio CD.0 -
I've used for the last few burning sessions, and it's working fine.
I'm just annoyed that WMP won't burn now I've upgraded to v11 as it won't even find the burner.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

It's always nice to thank people when they help you....otherwise they may be disinclined to do so in the future.

Thanks for the reminder, Donnie, and thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
However, the tip about using Nero, whilst helpful, doesn't answer my original query but it is a useful workaround.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Do you mean that when you go from Tools - Options - Devices, that there aren't any entries?0
-
From memory, that's correct.
When I go into the Burn pane, it says connect a device and restart WMP as well.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

I only have 3 devices - 1 HDD, 1 DVD-rewriter and a floppy drive (I installed that and it appears to be working OK).:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Brad White :
I just found this on another forum, it worked for me:
RUN>type in Services.msc>Double click IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service
When the window pops up, change startup type to automatic, and hit start, restart wmp 11 and it will recognize the drive. At least it worked for me, who knows.

Bryan Bassett :
Per Brad White's post above, I checked to see the status of my IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service, but it was already started. I re-started the service, closed and re-opened WMP11, and it then would burn.
There also seems to be a conflict with Roxio Easy Media Creator 90
