Solicitor has potentially lost latest will

Well thats good. The Solicitors should be able to act as suggested in my earlier post and as its their fault no fees should be payable and any Additional Probate Costs (which is likely) should be paid by them as well.It is a signed but uncertified photocopy. The other problem that we will hit tomorrow is that some of the accounts that we can't sort out due to the lack of an original Will and certified copies have standing orders which will automatically be settled, leaving us with the problem of having to try and recover the monies at some point in the future.
The Banks should freeze ANY bank accounts as soon as they are advised of death with an original death certificate. If you have not presented an original death certificate with them already then do so now. A copy death certificate tbese days is not accepted usually. Original death certificates taken at the original death notification are priced the same, but if you ask for more originals latwr then tbey do cost more.0 -
Just to let you know the solicitor eventually found the will.0

.
But the 1991 one may still be good enough to produce to those institutions that won't release info without it
Then when you apply for probate produce the proper one which as it turns out was subsequently found0
