Its £120 you have to go to property118 to register. then send of paperword to lawdepartment. then you get a barrister to represent you.

Is that the initial consultation or the amount for the fighting fund?

High Court action requires serious sums of money.

That is only for the barristers opinion.

A lot more money will be required for representation.

The more that join the cheaper it gets. I think its worth a punt if we get of without court action. if it gets to expensive then you have a choice to carry on or give up. so £120 to me is less than one months increase. Id rather tried than not tried at all,

Just because something is legal or not does,nt mean that it can not be overturned example PPI.
  • Hello everyone. i wondered if i could pick you brains over here please.
A friend has a home worth £380,000 and has a mortgage with a cherry picking mortgage company, her husband has left her and she wants to keep her home . she earns enough on paper for £110,000 mortgage. she wants to rent rooms to add the shortfall, but her cherry picking mortgage company wont lend her £190,000. Any ideas as she has 50% equity in her home. Thank you.
  • Hi

Has anyone had a reply from either the bank of Ireland or the obudssman regarding the increase in the differential? What did it say and how can we go forward? What are people doing about the increase from next week?

    Hi,

BTL is not regulated but they should be advising residential customers.

Have any residential customers had a response back?

    Hi,

Have been following 118 too. Am finding it all very bizarre that there's talk of a class action when the barrister has not yet confirmed if there is a case !! Wait until the barrister issues opinion and then make a decision. The 120 is ONLY for the barristers opinion.
  • Hi Denise2007,

I am a residential mortgage holder. Phoned the FOS and they said they would look into residential mortgage complaints.
Will have to follow the process and then forward the expected rejection by BOI to them.
    Hope that helps.
