A quote from #290 and not being paid is paying. Logical non sequiter assertion of belief as if fact. The black box view of this means that the numbers are never analysed systems are allowed to continue because folk believe. Statements have to be open to falsification otherwise they are vacuous. Let the bank fail.

Majority of borrowers affected are on trackers not fixed term products. Hence the disconnect with 5 years.

Banks fail. Then what? Rifts of old get reopened?

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Banks also have access to cheap funds in current and savings accounts where they pay between 0.0% to approx. 2%
So they are making a nice margin on these funds as they lend it out for 1.25+Br upto 10million% on credit cards and personal loans but this isn't enough to pay their bonuses for failure!

Rifts what are these? New is born, capitalism needs to cleanse this stable because it is not working efficiently. Cliques, elites and sychophants all washed away. Class is the enemy of capitalism.

They borrowed the money I bought at BOE I paid BOE + X. This is on their books I pay it back they make X over term. You have not explained how they can lose money from me. Except if they borrowed money above what I paid but that is not possible. Only conclusion they are not being paid back. So I have to pay more to pay for their poor decisions.

Please explain where this is wrong.
They do not borrow from BoE long term.

They can borrow daily they still only pay BR. The market is just not efficient it is distorted, manipulated.

So who pays for operating these accounts? The ATM's, the branches, the cost of cheque books and debit cards, the staff...........

Executive management of the major banks has changed since the crisis of 2007/08. So the same old accusations can no longer be made.

So they have become even worse since then?

Would your solution be that those borrowers already on higher rates pay even more to subsidise those on very low trackers. Is that moral?

Yes, 'rights' are far more important than 'fairness' in the modern democratic world, although some communist countries prioritise 'fairness' more than 'rights'.

This is a financial forum. Sorry if the views don't fit your agenda.

As for accusations of judgemental. Do you behave morally in your day to day financial activity?

strange question, I have been open about my issues with BofI but have a particular problem being a BofI prisoner because I am insolvent, though have not missed a payment in 14 years and wish to keep it that way....
