We dont take out mortgages to gamble with. The Bank may have acted illegally with unfair clause you cannot blame us for trying to get it overturned as im sure you would if you was affected ?
Wrong on both accounts. The clause is legal and fair. What makes the cause illegal? I think the extreme circumstances clause is completely justified when the lender borrowers money at a higher rate than it charges its borrowers and the bank is going bankrupt rapidly.
Do you want the BOI to collapse and need to be bailed out by Irish and British taxpayers just so you can keep your ultra low rates?
I'm starting to suspect that many of these landlords complaining have overstretched themselves in home buying and have very little equity to remortgage.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

:rotfl:The UK banking system is in dire state hence 0.5% base rate, QE and funding for lending. Not to mention all the mergers and nationalisation of half of them.Yes do have contract phone would,nt take insurance due to clauses especially the cover if you get phone stolen? suggest you read that & uve signed that and your as reckless as me
I don't take out phone insurance. I buy the phone and get a cheaper contract saving me money.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

But at the same time I think that it is right that people who know about this sort of stuff make their points on here.
It would be wrong of us to sit back and let the people affected talk only amongst themselves, all agreeing how bad this change is and that it must be illegal. And then from that standpoint pay out thousands in legal fees to then find out that people who weren't affected (e.g. the judge) didn't agree with them.0 -
BoI are letting of 1200 customers just anounced on 1180
