    You were told bu11shit.
Manufacturers' warranties are 12-24 months depending on the make, but you have to deal with the manufacturer directly.
If you want to deal with the supplier, this would be SOGA, not the warranty (unless the supplier offers their own extra warranty).

    I'll try again

Was the upgrade done through the network or a 3rd party

Who told you it was a 6 month warranty ....was the phone a refurb

Thanks for trying again. Upgrade through network, phone is not a refurb, brand new (and the 2 subsequent replacements).

    Welcome ;)

In that case the buck stops with the network although as Grumbler points out you have the option of the manufacturer to fall back on.

What's the extra warranty policy you have ..which network is it ?
It's not just about the money

Orange Extra Care - they are beyond USELESS.

Was stumped when they said they only provide the minutes, text etc and not the phone itself, so asked for a callback later and thought I would check the facts out.

I doubt they will say that but just in case point them towards the SOGA if they are unsure of their duty as a supplier of goods
