    I'd steer clear of the new Bulgarian developments, Bansko and the like - everyone's in on the act and the rental demand is unknown but looks like it could get ovedeveloped. To invest abroad now I'd look at city centre apartments in emerging Eastern Europe - probably Warsaw, Budapest or somewhere in Wales - somewhere you can get to on easyjet/ryanair. That said you can buy a run down house in Bulgaria for about the price of a garden shed.

    Always fancied a trip to Budapest but him indoors says no. Plenty of cheap flights there though. I might go on my own and have a look around. Anyone got any experience of the property market there?
