  • I'm thinking about getting a property in Spain. Never thought that Germany was ever a good investment.
  • BTW, you can get a mortgage for a Spanish property, even if you live in the UK. Have a look at http://www.thespanishmortgagelender.com. I'll post more, when I find them.

    Cheers

I have introduced to Viva Costa before now who I've found pretty good and they do all the work for you (and pay me).

They can arrange mortgages in many countries.

    http://www.vivacostainternational.com/

Private individuals can use them as can brokers (there is a link for advisers).

    Hope this helps.

(PS: I have no links to this company whatsoever but just speak as I find, cheers)

Sounds like a good plan. Cant wait until I get to your age and all my kids are adults and I can do the same, think I'd go to corfu but I've never been to cyprus - I'm told its very nice, my eldest daughter is going twice with her dad in June and August this year.

My friend Nadia is bulgarian and keeps going on at me to invest in a property in Bulgaria with her - I've never even been to the place but am booked to go in June - Which are the best areas to buy? She keeps going on about sunny beach or something (sorry I am not well travelled and geography is not my strong point)

  • A lot of experts are saying the biggest increases will be in the ski resorts in bulgaria which are only just taking off as most skiiers are minted. Not as much money in the package holiday sunny market and too much competition from loads of european resorts and cyprus etc.

A flat by the ski lifts should see some excellent rent returns and also big price increases.

Cyprus would be better for a place in the sun and lithuania is recommended for its economy which is seeing wages double year on year as its prices and economy is catching up with europe. Bulgaria is also in the transition to europe ;)
