Thanks Moneyspider. Its our family car I use so can't claim for everything. With the travel costs, for the double the money challenge I spent £5 on items to sell. Then I need to add cost of petrol on getting there and back (forgot about entrance fee!) So do I add the £3.62 or £7.56. Just need to know if Im doubling £8.62 or or £13.56, does that make more sense? Now need to add the 30p entrance on!

LOL maths at this time of day....really??? :rotfl::rotfl:

I would try to double the the item cost if you can so if it cost £5 aim to get £10 back after costs.....so if petrol cost £3 you should aim to sell for £13 if at all possible. Of course as long as you are making a profit when you include costs you are doing well :) but i think doing it this way means you get an actual figure rather than thinking you made a profit when the petrol cost more than the item and = an actual loss.

Hope that makes sense :D xxxx

    Hi haybel
I am finding any size is selling well. so you should be ok with that size.Maybe on the heel issue I just never look for anything heeled I always go flat as they seem to sell better for me but someone out there is buying heels so you should be fine :D Just get them up for sale :jI cant wait to hear how everyone's items are selling. You are right there will be a shortage of shoes soon :rotfl:
    Good luck

  • Hi there - this is my first time on the challenge and a bit if guidance needed please :-)

I had 4 items sell on ebay yesterday (the day before the challenge started - boo!). However a couple of people have only paid today. Do people generally count stuff when it's actually paid?

Also - I'm pretty new to ebay too and get very confused with the whole 'buy it now' thing. I quite often have people asking for a 'buy it now' price, but never have any idea what to put?!

For example I have a Karen Millen skirt ending on the site today I put it on at at £10 and three people have bid on it so far (it ends in 7 hours).I've had a request for a 'buy it now' price, but don't know how to respond. What do other people generally do?

    Thanks in advance

I think i am right in saying once there are bids made you can't end the item without having to get all the bids cancelled so its difficult once you get to that stage (but not impossible) as its ending in 7 hrs i wouldn't bother - if its still got days to go then i would but it is hard to judge a price - do you know how to look at completed listings? i use that to give me an estimated price.

    Hi FinancialSurrender

Well done on your ebay sales. You can add the money to this month's challenge.

For BIN you have to edit your listing to buy it now. It is the second tab i think on rbay next to auction price. Remember ebay will charge you for this. I wod charge £15 for bin but your buyers are probably hoping to grt it for £7.

What do the more experienced ebayers charge?
