Thanks Aesop, that's really helpful :)

I've just been trying to read through their pages ... I think I need a stiff drink, and my head hurts :rotfl:

I have an ebay account (which I've used to buy stuff) ... am I right in my understanding that I have to open another account to sell ? ie, I can't just log in & start selling ?

    Told you I'm stupid :o

    Angel xx

Not stupid at all GA!! you can sell from the same account - just click on sell at the top of your page sort of over on the right side it is - you might be asked to add payment info/dd type agreement - that is just for your fees should you sell anything which of course you will ;) Its just a case of following the prompts through and filling in all the boxes with your info - title, description, price all that kind of stuff. You will need to add your paypal email address if you want to use that payment option. I would opt for 7 day listings to make it easier to begin with - check the postage costs online to make sure you have that amount covered cos its frustrating to lose money on that bit.

any other questions we are all happy to help :D good luck!! xxx

Well i was still awake at 6am this morning so decided to go to the car boot - i mean what else would i do right?? :rotfl::rotfl:

It was sooooooooooo cold i packed up at 10 after the snow had started :( however by that time i had lifted £106.50 :D a very nice boost to my total!

I was quite naughty and bought myself a bike - i have been thinking about it for a while as i would like to try and do some exercise and of course it will save me diesel too ;) - got a lovely bike for just £20 with some nifty negotiations :D

I also bought a birthday pressie for my step dad for £5 - a lovely original drawing of one of the old steam trains from where he was born! Birthday is in June but thought i'd nab it when i saw it as its perfect for him :D

Confession time now - i bought 7 more pairs of shoes :rotfl::rotfl: i got them for £1 each and i think they will sell quite well - 3 of them are brand new ones - quite summery styles so i should make a few quid on them without too much trouble :D

Am not going to deduct anything from my earnings for these things as i have been planning on buying them anyway (well apart from the shoes) so moving money from my account for the bike and pic and the buying monies i have set aside for the shoes purchases into the 'sales' account to cover these :money:

Well done on the sales and bargain finds fairy!!

Just quickly nipping in to say I have managed 20 ebay listings. Planning to push through and get another 10 on there before the end of the night. Mainly got low value stuff on there with a view to it going for a £2 to £5 per sale but it all add's up I suppose!!

I've managed 11 including relists, have so much I want to list but no chance of getting it done. Got away with not going out, only because everywhere I want to go will be busy with 2 hour waiting time, if I had known we were going to go out could have booked somewhere.

But now DS is demanding attention so no chance of getting high value stuff on.
  • Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted for all the tips & support to break my ebayvirginitis fright :A

And especially the very very very kind person who babysat me through my first listing :happylove _party__party_

And more thank you's (I feel like an oscar winner!!) to Aesop for the advice re MrT's DTD ... I had to go there this morning for something and took the chance on speaking to the CS desk ... and they refunded me the DTD bit they missed previously, without a murmur :j

So, I can happily now report on some earnings today :rotfl:

£10.50 DTD refund, £30 Refund on a returned item that I can no longer use and .... yet again ... £20 S/C win .... a nice little total today of £60

Hope everyone's having a productive or pampering day !!

At the risk of causing a mad flurry of ebay listings - did you know you can add what i call quick listings - title, price and "to be edited" or "info being added shortly" in the description bit - especially useful on free listing days when you don't have time to add everything :D last time i added 7 £10 listings with no photo, short description and nothing much else and was able to go on later and add all the info i wanted :D but shuuuuuush don't tell anyone :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

25 items listed NO relists :D Had enough now feel like screaming

But have had an add up my items listed if they only sell at the start price and all sell will be £200 and they cost me £39.50 :rotfl:Thats not including the 2 items that have already sold for £40 so lets see what happens.
My morning started off with me in my nasty Black dressing gown in the garden taking photos in the snow freezing :) My husband looked out of the window from bed as he wondered what the hell the noise was and said the classic "Have you taken your medication yet :rotfl:?"
So well done to everyone on your listings and fairy brilliant news on bike and shoes etc and all that money taken on the bootsale in that short time
You shopping with me think I had better come with you :)

The moral of these ramblings if you see some shaky Ebay listings outdoors in the snow with a skanky Black dressing gown sleeve in the photos. Hit the back button :rotfl:and don't look back and don't reveal my identity !!! lol
