Three PAYG sim activation abroad

I doubt it would work, to enable roaming (or anything else) the sim has to connect to the server first and get sim updates. This doesn't tend to work with a sim outside the UK.0

Vodafone AU Sims activate abroad where Vodafone are, perhaps try a Vodafone UK sim.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

I've used plenty of foreign prepaid SIMs in the UK for the first time and they work fine. I'm sure it's the same in reverse.0

I've also activated SIMs outside their home network.
A Three SIM is already active anyway.0
