Morning all, grey and rainy here again. Had a lovely day yesterday and managed to get letter about son's neighbour drafted and emailed to housing association. they say it puts an entirely different complexion on his complaints (well, yes!) so we'll wait to see what happens. Friends on FB are suggesting that I go round to see him and appeal to his human side. I think that's a bad idea as I am defending my son and get emotional about it. I feel it's better left to the professionals, I don't want to make things worse and I'm afraid I might. any views welcome.................
Off to meeting in London this afternoon. A couple of hours work plus travel and preparation. Also big project will start next week, so money is becoming less of an issue and I have treated myself to a new pair of trousers from Mr S. V smart and V comfortable.
Lunch will be a sandwich on the way to the meeting and dinner stir fry. Fell off the cutting back wagon yesterday......5 big biscuits and 2 packets of crisps (not all at once!!!). but will get straight back on again......it's only one day.
nearly finished a jumper I am knitting so must get on with that as I will need it at the weekend when we are visiting OH's daughter in Norfolk and it's CCCCOOOOOLLLLLLLDDDDD.
have been catching up with washing, but before meeting I need to clean bathroom and dust around a bit.
Film yesterday was brilliant but a bit too gory for my friend and I. Worth seeing though. 3 hours and it flew by! It was Cloud Atlas btw.
Best wishes to birthday people and warm wishes to those facing difficulties.'Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.' T S Eliot0 -
Good morning and hugs to all who need one - seems to be a lot of us....Just a quick one before I go back to bed - yet another member of the Insomnia Club (although it's probably caused by thinking too much etc for me). Done all my work that was in my in tray - a whole 12 letters - and now there is nobody on line to ask for some more (I work from home as a medical transcriptionist). Blue skies here although nippy. Pasta bake tonight. Hoping to hear news from consultant about what to do about meds today.... well, I live in hope...... Should really try and get a handle on "stuff" I need to do but frankly I haven't got the energy or inclination....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Halight Thanks for your support. I am trying to not get stressed about Dad. It doesn't do my MS any good. DD is great. As a nurse she is used to dealing with these people, and she has taken it out of my hands now,I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all,
another one for the insomnia club here. I didnt shut my eyes till gone 2am and then hubby woke me up at 3am when he came to bed. Dogs got me up at 7 so ive had at the most 5 hours sleep.
Another picture for you for those of you who are following my daughter's charity work in South Africa.
This is one of the earliest babies. She was abandoned by her Mother hours after birth but has since been reunited with her. The Mothers family were very supportive of her and now help her with the babys care.
Jobs wise, ive done what i can up until now. Hubby is still fast asleep so i'll let him sleep as he will be grumpy if i wake him. I'll give him till midday though and the vacuum will go on no matter how tired he is.:rotfl:
I havent worked out whether he really is having a good break from work or whether he is sinking back into another stress related breakdown. I guess time will tell.:( I do know, the longer he goes without structure to his life, the harder it will be to get back into the swing of things.
Halight, sorry you didnt sleep very well either.
Rage in Eden, hope your consultant gets back to you today.
Jobs for today:
Vacuuming thoughout

Tea - Lamb (not horse) steaks, cabbage and mash.

I slept better last night, but I've woken up with a head ache.
Sometimes that happens to me if I sleep too deeply. I'll take something for it in a moment, and then get on with the day. Usually I can shake off the headache.
It's rather dull outside. I'd rather like to start tidying the garden, but it's damp and still too cold to be comfortable outside. I think the garden will have to wait for a few weeks.
So, my days activities are inside. I'm getting some boxes out of the loft with a view to more decluttering. It'll be quite slow, as the boxes contain some of my parents things, but I really do feel that I want to let some of these things go. It feels as if it's the right time.
Dinner tonight will be liver and bacon.
Have a good dayEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Forgot to mention, saw both my middle son and youngest daughter yesterday. My son popped round to show us his puppies (they were born on his birthday so that makes them 4 months old). I have to say, he's looking after them better than he is looking after himself.:(
Youngest daughter popped round after work. Great to see her stand up to her Dad when he was trying to tell her something. I think the entire conversation went something like :
"Oh for goodness sake Dad, give it a rest. Youve told me once, youve told me twice stop going on, i dont care what car we have as long as it works and i can get a pram in it, it isnt as though you havent made a few mistakes buying cars".:D
Just ordered £60 Debenhams vouchers from Shopandscan. 3 of those will go to my daughter on her birthday. The others will go on eb*y as soon as ive received them.
Eldest son has appeared on Facebook. He looks really well i am pleased to say. Long may it continue! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all!
Another sleepless night, getting to the end of my tether with it, have never been a good sleeper but can't cope with this much longer, have a permanent headache, burning eyes and nausea, feels like the bad old days when I worked night shift!
Anyways, today will be a day of catch-up and blethering, collecting OHs cousin at the airport at lunchtime, so it wont be a no spend day, the parking charges are awful but due to the fog here today the flight will be delayed! Off for a long shower to wake myself up a bit, have a good day all!RIP Iain
