Dont know if I should post this here but I will anyway. Just got back from a&e where my daughter is asleep under observation after taking a massive overdose of paracetomol, sleeping pills and anti depressants. She suffers with anxiety and depression and a problem at work seems to have pushed her over the edge. Luckily she told me within an hour and she got to hospital within 3. They have her on a drip to counteract the paracetomol ( has to be done within 8 hours ) and although she was very agitated she is now asleep and they have sent us home. seems she will be on the drip for 20 hours and then they will check her bloods again.
I was in such a state I could not even go with her in the ambulance. Hope she has not done any real damage. This is not the 1st time but the last time was over 9 years ago and I really thought she would not do it again.
Must go to bed now to get a little sleep before going back.
Good job she rang you Rose. Hope she hasn't done any lasting damage with the paracetamols and that she gets the help she needs. Hugs Caz.0 -
The After Eight egg is not showing as part of the 3 for £10 on MSM today :j:j:j
The only trouble is, it doesn't appear to be the same egg as on A.Com, the one on MSM is Premium with a pack of 5 after eights and the one on A.Com is a Wave egg with a bag of after eight waves (whatever they are)
Can anyone confirm which egg is available instore please? Because if it's the one on MSM we "could" be good to go for a near 100% APG as it should compare at £2 Sainsbobs.
And don't forget the Lovebrands 50p voucher also valid on this egg...Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
ICBINB and Oykos expired?
Good morning everybody, I'm really sorry to hear about peoples trials and tribulations overnight, I hope things improve for you all.
This was posted on AOL's webpage this morning; 'The deal was corrected by Tesco this morning, so anyone ordering for deliveries later today or tomorrow will be charged full price, and will have to refuse the delivery on the doorstep. However, those who were wiling to hit the shops yesterday bagged an unusual deal.'Some days you're the statue, some days you're the pigeon.0 -

Could not have written it better
Rose my thoughts will be with you today and your DD
Been there the other way round when my mum was sectioned at 50 - long hard struggle since but she is still with us - will be on medication for life but the help is there - blessings to you both

Good morning everyone! I hope you all have a very successful day of bargain hunting no shopping for me today my stocks have built up to the point where I no longer have any room in my chest freezer or my fridge freezer and my cupboards are full so it's time now to start using my stocks saying that if a glitch appears I will be on the first bus lollLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Rose - thought are with you and your daughter. I hope she gets the help and care that she needs-you got her to hospital where they should be able to refer her to the right people. I've been in your position (my Mum) and it is so hard to know that although you can be there there's nothing you can do to break their thought process. Just carry on believing that it is the disease that made her do this, not your daughter. x0

WishI'dReadSooner wrote: »Maybe you need a metal door? Hubby told me tales of his boxer - when he got mad with him he used to chew up 2"x4" timber. Hubby loved the dog & he sounded a character. When hubby used to mow his large garden the dog used to go get him a bottle of beer from the fridge & sit with him when he drank it. The dog must have decided he needed to try it so when he put the bottle down he upended it in his mouth, From then on he used to go to the fridge twice - making sure he had one too.
Hubby wants another boxer - after hearing his tales & reading yours that's a NO from me. A cavalier will do nicely!
I had thought of reinforcing the back of the door that way, I got as far as measuring the door and looking for someone who could do it but then the 'beast' broke through the door.
They are very loyal dogs but I do think many need to be the only dog as they demand all the attention, he tries to have my attention all the time and doesn't even like DS having any which is totally unacceptable, not to mention the other dog is feeling totally pushed out and it's starting to feel like I'm living on my own as DS and the other dog won't stay in the same room as the 'beast'. Not a happy situation:(SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

In my Sada store Monday and Sainsbobs last night it was the After Eight Premium egg that was on the shelves. Not seen an eight waves.
Where do you get the love brands voucher from please.0 -
I know the feeling, I take my mam to m's every Friday and its so hard to just buy some food :rotfl:
I also can relate to this... i could literally cry when my daughter tells me how much her shopping bill for 1 week is!!
She moans about it all the time but when i tell her about a glitch or something cheap her nose is in the air! but you can guarantee everytime she visits she leaves with a bag full of stuff.
Clearly some people have far too much money if you ask meIt`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
