Evening all - lots of snow flurries here today but not lying thankfully, though it is very cold

I went down to see to Mam at lunch time and she managed half her meal, but no dessert. She was tired and quiet. Nurse said the doc had been to see her, with all urine/stool tests coming back ok, though they are still going to continue with blood tests as she is obviously not back to her normal self. Infection control taken off, with her not having diarrhoea or vomiting for 72 hours now, so she can have her room door open again. I then went to visit my brother as arranged but, despite me knocking on door several times and ringing house phone, no reply so went shopping then back to my sisters. Later found out that he'd been asleep in his chair and not heard me, despite expecting me to call

When me and my sister went down tonight, Mam was really bright and cheery, and we were carrying on with her laughing. Carer brought her 3 small sarnies and bowl of dessert, but after taking one tiny bite out of sarnie, she rolled it round in her mouth and put it back on the plate saying 'don't want'. My sister gave her some ensure to drink, and she had a little sip, then we asked her to have another little bit of sarnie but she told us that she wanted to be sick. As I rushed to get a towel from her bathroom, she was violently sick all over the place. Giving my sis the towel I rushed for nurse who came straight up but Mam was still vomiting, looking very distressed. They got her all cleaned up and we just sat with her as she dozed off a bit. Nurse said that she would get doc to check in on her tomorrow and take things from there, as obviously still something going on. We had just been talking to the nurse and carers about how good she seemed today and that I would probably travel home tomorrow, but now I am staying to see how things go

Hoping she is ok tomorrow :(

Just a thought I had earlier but
Do you not think people in general do not realise how good their lives are ?
Until it takes a turn for the worse.

I'd quoted this last night but had changed from my laptop to my iPad by the time I posted, so it came back up tonight on my laptop. I have to say, I completely agree with this David.

Well done to everyone who got the glitched ICBINB and yoghurts, but I have not bothered with this one as I don't use spread at all and the yoghurts are too rich for me. Not worth getting them for my sister or niece either as they wouldn't use them. I did however pop into Morries for the Woods Navy Rum mentioned on grabits yesterday, bought 2 at £18.99 which is a good price for THAT dark rum ;);) and I got Morries week 2 voucher which I will give to my niece who is saving them. I have left the bottles in the car to avoid temptation, though we did have a little Albali Red with our chilli and rice tonight ;)

I am going to have a browse around the grabits, hukd and fb now, but will be back later to say goodnight

Just back from Mr.T where while shopping I seen that silverside beef joints are half price. Yummy yum yum says I. So I thought I would treat myself to a nice £22 joint. Imagine my horror when it went through the till at full price. Stunned I wandered over to customer services and told the young lady about my tale of woe.
Anyway she went and checked the SEL and came back smiling and informed me that I was correct it should have been half price and I was charged full price. Then she calculated half of £22 = £11 and then announced the as it was an overcharge Mr.T gives me double the overcharge......So £11x2=£22...some needless maths there but hey ho. I got my £22 refund and regained my composure and skipped out the store with my free large Silverside joint.
    Thanks again Mr.T.

*Short version - Silverside beef is half price at Mr.T - The packs without half price label on are going through at full - Equals free Silverside joints.
such a coincidence the same thing happened to me on 2 £24.00 joints imagine my shock when she gave me £48.00 back and got lots of cheap i cant beleive , yoghurts and lots of whoopsies so great shop thanks everyone:T:T

I can't find where I got it from now, all Tesco's site say is

Where do you get the Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons prices from?
    • Asda – we take prices daily from the Asda.com grocery website
    • Sainsbury’s – we take prices daily from the Sainsburys.co.uk grocery website
    • Morrisons – as Morrisons don’t have an online grocery shopping service, we check prices twice a week by visiting stores
We use an independent agency to check the prices for us.
Can we all get jobs with this agency?

I thought the same for my T and sure enough the shelf was empty when I got there but a girl was restocking the shelves from a big cage,. There were no target yogs on the trolley so asked if there were any more. She went out back and came back loaded with packs of yogs so got 4...another glitch ticked off (don't laugh David.)

Also did a bit of whoopsie shopping and got charged £2.83 for some 14p grapes...DTD of course....free whoopsies :rotfl:
Sorry David. but no meat tonight;)

One of the regulars had brought along a couple for whoopsie training and they couldn't believe how cheap things were. More competition:( The hubby works at Morrisons and said that they never reduce this much so cheaply and most of their end date stuff is skipped with any meat being "doctored" to make it unfit for consumption...what a waste:eek:
    obsession
Time we thinned the competition out a bit too many scratters not good ;)
No meat but plenty of fruit though :p

Ooh so if you had bought the minnie egg and 2 eggs that compared at £2 you would have got back £6.40 APG on the 2 eggs paying £3.60 for the 3 after apg.

I thought it was £6 then plus 10 % making £3.40 for 3. But if the minnie egg had shown as been in Sainsburys which it had shown on my supermarket website it would of thought i had spent £15 on eggs in asda compare to £8 in sainsburys so it would of been £7 plus 10% making it £2.30 for the 3 eggs. I think!?
