Icbinb and yoghurt still glitching as b1g3f just now (buy in 4s).

Quick question please - in T, if you buy meat where SEL is half price but pack goes through at full price, I understand DTD is generally payable. However, the CS said the promotional packs were those flashed half price and the one I got wasn't reduced. She offered to swap it for one of the half price ones but I declined and got a refund. Is this correct? She was very nice offering to swap it and probably thought I was strange asking for a refund rather than switching it :o.

    Still learning ...

    Many thanks

No, she was wrong. The sel does not mention 'promotional/stickered packs'. A pack of silverside etc has the same contents regardless of whether there is a half price sticker on the pack. The crossed out price on the sel (ie £10 per kg) will be the same as the one on the unstickered pack.

Remain calm AND polite. When he/she has finished his/her excuses, ask him/her to explain the difference in the actual product ie the silverside in one pack compared to the other. (They are usually struggling at this point, particularly if they have your rapt attention and looking them straight in their eyes, whilst keeping a straight face - after all the product is the same!) If they try to say that the product is different, ask them to call the manager of the meat department. If they ask why, just say that you'd like to speak with them. They may just give in and give you dtd - 'just this time' or will call the MM.

When that person comes, smile and politely ask them to tell you the difference between the contents. (This is impossible as the label that describes the contents is the same on both packs, ie silverside.) I have always found that they will say that there isn't a difference. Usually they will go on to explain that the one that is incorrectly priced is 'old' stock from before the promo started or 'new' stock if the promo hasn't finished. An apology is usually forthcoming as well as offering dtd as it is their company policy.

    Evening all

Well done to those of you who got yogs and pretend butter :) I don't like that brand of yellow stuff or the yogs so it isn't difficult for me not to do it

Can I ask you knowledgable peeps a question please?

I need to buy an external hard drie, probably a 1tb job. It's mainly for a one off thing in work so clearly don't want to spend too much money! Can anyone recommend a good one with a reasonable price tag please? Thanks :)

And if this doesn't happen (as in my situation around Christmas time), take names of the people you've spoken with, complain to HO and await giftcard ;)

    Oh David,
I'm hoping you mean that in a nice way......:)

No seriously .......I'm deliberately missing this one. Lurpak for me:)

Would have loved the yoghurts but too far to travel into Durham now it's on HDUK and 10 ways. There's a good chance that the shelves are empty....... Unless Pam posts to say there's some left:cool::):)

    I'm looking at Easter eggs:)

Oh I received my Viking giftcards today. No points added and I'm not going to push for them. Win some lose some:)

I thought the same for my T and sure enough the shelf was empty when I got there but a girl was restocking the shelves from a big cage,. There were no target yogs on the trolley so asked if there were any more. She went out back and came back loaded with packs of yogs so got 4...another glitch ticked off (don't laugh David.)

Also did a bit of whoopsie shopping and got charged £2.83 for some 14p grapes...DTD of course....free whoopsies :rotfl:
Sorry David. but no meat tonight;)

One of the regulars had brought along a couple for whoopsie training and they couldn't believe how cheap things were. More competition:( The hubby works at Morrisons and said that they never reduce this much so cheaply and most of their end date stuff is skipped with any meat being "doctored" to make it unfit for consumption...what a waste:eek:
    Awaiting a new sig
