When I phoned the manufacturer (not Hotpoint), I was told exactly what you were told ie they would send an engineer out, bla, bla, bla. So I went onto their facebook page, told them I was unhappy and could never recommend their products. I then got an email from them asking for my name and telephone number and within a week, they had installed a new dishwasher for me. So it's worth posting on facebook about it, because I don't think they like the bad publicity. Hope that helps.:D
Sounds good advice, wish I could follow it but being a bit of a dinosaur I don't use fb and wouldn't know where to start0 -

Hi everyone I am also on the sick list, the cold that has been loitering all week is here with a vengence but I am not going to get any sympathy or coddling . OH has of course been to the doctors, his favourite pastime, who has given me a bumper package of assorted pills :T and an appointment for a chest x ray the cough he has had since Christmas apparently. No I have not noticed a cough either.
Shock horror he has not had a full physical in 2 years

I have read all the way back but to this morning but there does not seem to be any discussion about Easter eggs .... I still cant figure out what is and what isn't working, think I need a step by step idiots guide.
Our usual pizzas are not on offer anywhere, Goodfellas so I might drag myself to Morrisons and take pot luck. I started a
Sada v waitrsoe
list with the topcash pizza and kenco and then that was all i could think of. And then it all seemed a bit too complicated for a Thursday afternoon ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I think a Lindt Easter egg is exactly what I need . Or 2“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Do they need a certain type of machine to print out the voucher or will it just come out along with the receipt like a till spit?
have read somewhere in the past about a "concertina"? (spelling) machine in Morribobs? It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

SunnyDelight wrote: »Big thanks to all who were concerned and gave me advice re my knacked fridge today.
No go with Hotpoint, they were not interested and said the best they could do was send out an engineer at reduced cost of £80:eek: Feel a strong letter of disgust coming on to CEO but I don't really have a leg to stand on.
More importantly I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all you lovely people for all your fantastic tips and advice as savvy shopping, wombling and snapping etc will really help to pay for the new fridge I now have to buy.
On mine it was the heat sensor jobby on the inside that had gone cost about £15 (or maybe less not 100%) to buy a new one. Is there no free call out people in your area that could have a look I tend to just google then decide if it is worth the risk taking the chance. For £15 it was and worked a treat :TWhen The Fun Stops Stop0 -
