Children need a nurturing environment, stability, routine and most of all care and attention.
When challenging behaviour is evident, ensure strict boundaries are adhered to. When they attempt to push the boundaries ensure suitable consequences relating to the incident are made clear.
Seconded. I've seen parents shouting at their kids "don't hit your brother" and punctuating each word with a smack. If it's not acceptable to hit adults, why on earth is it considered OK to hit a child?
BTW I'm a mother on two teenage sons. The elder could try the patience of a saint. I don't condone violence against anyone. Especially the vulnerable.0 -
So you are driving along the motorway at 70mph and darling 6 year old undoes his car seatbelt, what do you do?
Give the child a firm warning, if he/she does it again put a car ban in place for a week. Ive actually had this done, and the back window kicked through on the motorway...:money:0 -

Hope it picks up soon for you
We've got enough bomb pots to last a year. He bought a few the other night to go camping with later in the year.
Think I'm going to have to have a few curry nights this year :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. For your information:looks like we have a new one
Evening everyone
Lots of warmth and love to all big and little people who are feeling out of sorts and up against it. And especially for the little folk - they rely on us to make sense of what can at times be a difficult and challenging world.
Thank you choclate 24 - eggscellent find :T:T This brings things closer to the kind of choccy glitch I would like.
Not impressed with the new Ts meal deal for Mother's dayWas hoping for more bits that compare favourably elsewhere - just seems to be the cauli cheese on the items I can see. And the only dessert in the deal on my T.com is rhubarb crumble :rotfl::rotfl:
