Lol no, these young people i work with are one step away from being secured or sectioned! this is there last chance..... i could say so many things that have happened in the past..... waking up and the home is on fire..... boiling water from kettle thrown over me.... young person stealing a car and attempting to run me over.... restraining them in Tesco, asda and sainsburys.....

Believe me, i wasnt judging you, we all have our own ways of dealing with a crisis, although in the eyes of the law, smacking a child IS abuse.

So were the three eggs mentioned in the 3 for £10 offer? if so why are all 3 showing on the receipt and why is it giving an APG return and not showing them as part of the offer? I don't understand because there doesn't seem to be a trigger for it?

Anyway, I am reporting back as I said I would for the NI gang that the Hot Wheels can be found in that store on the bottom shelf of the seasonal aisle (that is, if you don't get shoved out of the way first).

The Elizabeth shaw egg is not in store being advertised as 3 for £10 but is going through the tills as part of deal

The present position is set out in The Children Act 2004, Under this Act, it is illegal to smack children hard enough to leave a mark, with parents who transgress facing up to 5 years’ imprisonment if they are convicted.
But....
Smacking, yelling or shaking your child has long-term effects on their behavioural development and can lead to an aggressive nature later on in life.

Simply put it is not against the law in the uk to smack your child. But if that smack were to cause an injury or leave a mark/scratch/bruise or any other such harm then you could find yourself up on a charge...the nature of the charge escapes me tbh. This may change in the future due to a eu ruling last year basically ticking the UK and some other EU member countries off for not outlawing it completely.

It's all a folly IMHO as when used correctly and appropiately it is an effective tool for a parent. Maybe im wrong but I am entitled to my opinion.
By smacking I mean a shock of a smack not a beating by a sadistic idiot who should not be anywhere near a child ect ect. I think the law as it stands is tough but fair as no parent would want to leave a mark on their child as a result of a smack.
