With the surprise I hope you don't have to change your profile name. Tell me I promise not to say a word. But when you do get round to telling them please come back and tell us as well.

I HATE when someone says this!!
  • Thanks for all the replies.

Oh well, will need to await the next surprise as told them.......only lasted 5 minutes before my huge grin started worrying them . They guessed right after giving them a huge hint .

After reading McKneff's reply, I asked them if they would just have liked to know about the surprise on the day, which was met with a resounding NO, .

Anyways, the little man is away to tell all his friends and keeps hugging me and telling me that I am a wonderful mum. The best mum he has ever had........ seemingly :):):)

 What was the surprise then?
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

As someone who hates surprises I'd much sooner know something and have time to plan and the excitement of an occasion to build rather than an occasion suddenly being presented sort of thing.

The surprise isn't even for me and I'm getting antzy not knowing
  • It wasn't anything great, just for the boys to go to a Barcelona game.

Normally I don't do big surprises as they are both so picky and I hate to spend money on something they may not really like, but I knew they would like this.
