Urgent - advise re hotel pool closure

Just a quick update. Thankfully I have a happy ending at last

(only after having emailed the directors and posting on the Thomas Cook problem forum though).

Thomas Cook have now cancelled my original holiday and I have paid for a new one which is now booked.

It is a shame that the normal customer service staff at Thomas Cook weren't able to deal with this situation appropriately, however I am very glad that we now have a holiday to look forward again, and would like to thank the very helpful lady that called me.

Still Egypt, but Sharm instead of Hurghada. Hotel gets fantastic reviews, we are looking forward to it now!

Very bad that they didnt sort this for you in the first place. Hardly makes you want to book with them again.

Fantastic result!

As you say, it is a pity the querying via the normal channels was not able to resolve your issues; it does seem that you have to kick up a fuss to get a fair deal with some companies.
