Compensation for delay on connecting flights

The ECJ has confirmed in the Folkerts v Air France case C-11/11 that compensation is payable in the case where the first flight is delayed for less than 3 hours but means that passengers miss their connection to an onward flight leading to a delay in excess of 3 hours in reaching their final destination.
