Interesting, this was Cons one big campaigning message - looking like voters are judging Cons Osborne by his own exam, failing the AAA test he set himself? Or maybe its something else? What say you panellists?

Wasn't it Labour who created all the debt that put us in the mess that we're in? I doubt if people's memories are so short to forget that fact.0

It seems not, voters have decided not to believe that story any more by the look of it - the Cons have had nearly 3 years0

No, it was the global financial crisis. Note the word 'global'.
Glad to be of assistance.0 -
If the crisis under Labour was down to external forces then so is the current situation.
If Osborne is to blame for the current issue then Brown is to blame for the financial crisis and his imprudent claim of an end to boom and bust.
I'm no particular fan of the current government, and am not too particular about my local Tory MP, but having Labour back in would be ruinous.0 -
It should be the easiest time to be in Opposition ever currently, even easier than it was in the 1970's.
That Labour aren't further ahead is strange. They need to drop Balls if they want to be credible.
This is a time of National Emergency, so a little consensus would help.
Certainly Osbourne is a lame duck Chancellor and becoming a major liability for the country on the World stage, but with Labours alternative being Ed Balls, that will not instill confidence anywhere in the World.
As a nation we deserve better than these two clowns.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Just wondering when you're going to answer the questions which were asked of you on the exchange rate thread which you started? Only a troll would start a discussion and then ignore any questions. You're not a troll are you?0 -
Voters are cleverer nowadays, I think they have picked up that the IMF and Ratings Agencies are telling all euro countries to change towards Ed Balls Plan B For Growth & Cuts together US, France and even Japan are doing this now, and Osborne has been tolds in no uncertain terms he must do the same. Voters have picked up that Ed Balls said that all along, and kept to it through thick and thin, probably knowing time would prove him right. Frightened voters dont spend and we need them to spend at home as UK is finished abroad and in Europe for the foreseeable future - even a falling pound wont help that as we dont have exports anuyone actually wants!0

Only trolls would follow someone around a forum begging them to answer their post on a different thread, you're not a troll are you?
As for Labour being ahead, if they can't be better than this Conservative government it shows how bad they are themselves.0 -
To be fair to him, he probably finds you quite boring.

At least the Labour Election Machine appears to be moving with the times.
