:j:j:j haw - wow... You’re motoring and over halfway now with a brilliant nsd no 7, yay!!
it sounds as though you had a lovely weekend and the trip to glasgow is definitely something to look forward to :)

Well pleased coz money just seems to be staying just out of my grasp this month!!

Wondering could I get another 2 in this week...?? ;)

And I agree - loved yesterdays pic too!! :D:D:D

    EDIT:

Nope! Not one today :( Post office for fleabay (although buyer paid p&p so technically not a spend), but OH sent me to Tesco's at lunch for rice, and I came out with... well... more than just rice :o

:mad:Had to get more petrol today as I had to drop DH at work. His van died last night and we had to push it from the main road home. (Helps that eldest son is an amateur boxer so V. strong :) ) Anyway, we are waiting to hear from the mechanic what is wrong and how much it will cost to repair. :) I did some basic research this morning on the web & going by whats happened it could be the immobiliser that has packed up and could cost £500+ to fix!

Pennysaving - let's hope your websearch sent you barking up the wrong tree, then!

Well, I know it's early but number 6 NSD has launched itself into the Cauldron of Doom.

Either it's on a suicide mission or it saw Igor coming at it with a broomstick, a pair of secateurs and a bicycle pump.

(Prizes will be offered to those who can guess most closely Igor's intention with the bicycle pump. Here's a clue ...he does not own a bicycle.)

Has he been looking at that recipe for perfect Chinese crispy duck again?

  • I haven't been around much due to anticipated commitments (accompanied in the most part by spending unfortunately) but I did trap NSD 9 on Sunday and today looks good for #10

That would mean I have achieved my target for the month so I will increase my target to 14

Even though I have spent a lot of money this month I am really pleased with how little I have spent on non essentials thanks to the inspiration of this thread. As an example unch today was a rather hard bread roll which I decided to use as it wasn't actually mouldy though way past its best. Dunked into soup (taken from the pantry store) made it palatable and I'm still here to tell the tale :D I've also cut right back on the amount I have spent on Easter eggs for the family using my outgoings on new boiler and shower as the reason.

    And today was....

NSD #12, which takes me to target :T

My calculations tell me there are still another 11 days left of the month (seriously can't believe I've hit target so early), so I've had to consider increasing my target instead of just being happy with 'target exceeded'.

To the best of my knowledge I only have 1 day left when a D/Debit will leave my bank. Keep 2 additional days for grocery spends, and there's also 2 Sundays that may require spends depending on what OH and I end up doing. So that's possibly 5 spend days out of the remaining 11, giving the potential for another 6 NSDs which would take me to 18.

But that seems very ambitious. Checking my records tells me that I reached 16 in January, and then I repeated that in February despite having 3 fewer days in the month. So I think I'll set my second target to 16 please :)

Since I am in for the rest of today, NSD number 9 today for me :)
  • NSD # 8 today. :j

A day at work makes it easier to nab a NSD, and no feeling bad today as hubby didn't have to go out for anything as we had everything in for tea. Spend day expected tomorrow as need petrol. But pleased with that as normally top up every Monday and have eeked it out to thurs. :D
