Afternoon everyone, hope everyone is well and saving
Today has been a great day for me not only have stuck to the plan of saving. i have also found out i am getting a 4% pay rise at work :j backdated aswell
My OH after telling her my plan of action, she revealed a secret that in fact for the past 4 years has been saving little by little and that the money which was saved we would use towards the cost of the holiday (something i thought i would need a loan for) but after she revealed that in fact she had managed to save £3k :D which means we only now need further 1k, which i said i would put on a 0% purchase CC and then use the savings am making to pay it off as soon as we come back. :T
so factastic day
Anyway back to my tuesday spend diary. Normally i would spend £21 just on tuesday but since my Plan of action
I spent in total for Tuesday 27/2: £2.83 a massive saving of £18.22 Wooohooo

Thanks Tixy,
I did want more and i had asked for close to 8%
payrise but i knew i would not get it in this economic climate so to get 4% i am very happy considering when so many people are not working and people getting pay freezes. so i do consider this a blessing, the fact that i am working is what i more happy about and that my employer recognises the hard work is a bonus. in my eyes
Reduced smoking has not been bad. started with buying 20 on Monday morning and now i have 7 left to last me until tomorrow morning. ( this is considering i would normally have bought another 20 today) :T i did want a couple times to go and smoke but that would of left me with a couple less for the evening so dug deep and chewed gum and resisted :rotfl:Total Debt in June 2013: Barclaycard 0% until Nov 2014: £1550

Well done you.
Hope you manage to keep it up, and those savings should start to feel normal rather than a struggle against temptation everyday.
And reducing the smoking will also be very good for your health as well as your wallet

Well for your first week you've done fantastic! That's really encouraging!
First week always the hardest. In no time you won't even have to think about cutting back, it'll just come naturally!
Have a good weekend

Well done learningabout!
I too have bananas for breakfast. I've also taken my own lunch to work ever since I changed my job in September. Keep it up. You will see the difference at the end of the week for sure!0
