but not your passwords .... all it takes is one member of paypal, to write down your password and username...... if they do that to 10 accounts, they could have a field day one day in the future after they have left........
Each company (apart from paypal) have no password on the screen. Bank take you through to another advisor who does not know your account number, just password, and vice versa so there is no way that fraud could take place, and mobile phone - well thats not password, thats just a conformation code really
also - its one thing having access to your bank details but another to actually beable to access a payment system (you also need to use CVV on your card) which no company keeps on the computer for all to see, just paypalNever do things tomorow when you can do them today.0 -
I think it's one thing to point out paypal's problems, quite another to make a point of things that *could* happen.
Let's stick to 'known knowns', in preference to hypotheticals

Thanks greeneye.
i had just had to piull all my ebay listings, due to no paypal.
now i will be sending a letter, and emails off to all the correct people, but im not holding my breath.
what i need is a new paypal asap.
If i make another 1, in my name, at my grandmothers address, and open a new bank account somewhere, do they(bank and paypal) NEED to be at the same address? Sorry to ask, but i verified and sorted me paypal out about 3 years ago, and cant remember.
if not, does any1 have any other suggestions? i am very desperate here, everyday without paypal is a big dent in my profits.
Cheers again, and thanks to everyone that has given helpful answers and replies.0 -
don't do it. if you set up a new paypal acc with your name & then start linking your ebay sales to your paypal account, they'll catch ya eventually. when they do, you'll find yourself having to end all your ebay listings that offer paypal whilst at the same time, annoying a few more buyers. Thanks greeneye.

your name and quite possibly your ebay account will be on their bad books & paypal for sure will have invested heavily in computer software to catch previous offenders out.0 -
what about using a diofferent name and address, but linking it to MY bank account?0

Still a very bad idea. You will still get caught. My best advice is to forgo accepting PayPal and open a NoChex or MoneyBookers account for online payments. If you have a clean credit history, you could always apply for a merchant account to process credit/debit cards. Cheques, postal money orders and bank transfers are another option provided your eBay selling account has a long history, good feedback (99%+) and has sold the same items for a period of time.
If you want your PayPal account will be reviewed, you should address any disputes with previous customers over the legitimacy of items and possibly offer refunds (after return of your items). If PayPal has libelled you i.e. in writing, you may have a course of action through the courts. The onus will be on PayPal to substantiate their claims that you are selling "copied/fake/bootleged goods"; failure to do so will leave them open to paying you compensatory damages.
Be aware that your eBay account is probably also under review so any 'fresh' PayPal accounts that are linked to new eBay sales will likely cause those PayPal accounts to be flagged for review or closure. (Everything is cross referenced - so don't even try to avoid detection...)
Hope this helps!"Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0
