best broadband deals?

Hi, I wondered if anyone had any tips about comparing broadband/phone line deals. I'm no longer in my BT contract, so I can change for a better deal if there is one out there, or negotiate with BT?. I've not got much patience and get a bit confused looking and comparing them all, but I guess I'll have to! I need unlimited broadband, (as that is what my lodger expects). I have freeview, but have recently seen advertised a BT 'youview' service (which has bbciplayer i think and a few other things - though I don't know if its free or not). Thanks!

Broadband is exchange specific. LLU operators are generally cheaper than those from BT. Look up your exchange using Samknows and see whats available.

YouView is not a BT product. They do however use the YouView box for their BT Vision subscription service as do Talk Talk with Talk Talk TV.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

...thanks, yes, have since found out about this, it's not such a great deal I don't think, so won't be bothering with it.

Not all broadband suppliers are available on every exchange, so you need to check what is available on yours. Do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com to find your available LLU providers-these will be the cheapest deals.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
