With our Great British ? pound sinking fast, might, just might, be worth double checking when choosing your country destination? For those lucky enough to be going abroad at all that is! Maybe we could glean where we think the pound/cons will be by August? Might not get very much for our money at all, the days of ten pound coffees abroad are back?

Stay in the UK. Simples.

Still better than in 2009 under your beloved Labour Party when the real exchange rate for anyone getting foreign currency to spend on holiday was £1 = €1. I expect you have conveniently forgotten that though.0 -
shame for any low waged working families who ve been making cuts all year just to have one guaranteed week of sun to look forward to after long shifts, double jobbing ,not seeing the kids enough etc...0

If you are lucky. Labours giant housing bubble priced out this and future generations staying in a house.
What would Ed Balls do apart from make the currency even weaker by borrowing even more.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

The pound is down 3.9% on the year. A ten pound coffee woul have cost you £9.61 last year, not so very different.
I'm not sure where you holiday if a coffee costs you ten quid, you're obviously pretty rich.0 -
'The Pound Has Sunk Nearly 11pc Since Last Summer And Is Set To Keep Falling' (Telegraph) - I just thought some of the low waged working families on here might appreciate knowing that about the Cons weak pound and failing economic policy before they book.....

How much spending money do you think that those hard working, low paid families manage to take away with them each year for their week in the sun?
For those who can afford to holiday abroad (a luxury, not an essential), maybe they will have to cut back on the cheap booze and ciggies that they bring home. It might even put an end to some of the tacky holiday souveniers and foreign sweets that get brought home."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -
The pound is down 3.9% on the year.
Against what?
It's down 7%+ against the Euro and 5+% against the dollar this year.
It's down 10% against the Euro since last July. £500 spending money last year got you £645 euros - this year 577 euros.
And that's now - it'll be worse by the summer. I'm wonderin if I should get my holiday money now :think:0
