I lived near a creche for a while and it was annoying. The kids who had been in school all day could be really noisy - blowing off steam I guess. And there was the screamer  one little girl who did this awful fake scream all the time. Resulting in all of the kids doing it over pretty much a whole school year. I did try to gently complain once but got the 'kids will be kids' speech. Luckily most of the time I wasn't there in the daytime. DH also was genuinely worried about looking out the window that faced towards the creche.
Parking was also an issue - double parking everywhere. As were the dirty nappies in the recycling bin if it was left out
You have my sympathy OP!
Edited to say, do you have any dodgy looking male friends who could hang around the garden when prospective parents are viewing?

I have seen planning applications on our council's website for 'nurseries' which sound like this. I think most councils have planning applications on line now so you could have a discreet look. The ones that I saw all had a starting time of 08.00, which incidentally is the time that builders are allowed to start, so I doubt your neighbour will be allowed to start business as early as 06.30. The entries gave details of how many children were allowed and which parts of the house could be used.0

My neighbour has a similar number of children that she child minds with identical hours.
In the summer she sets up loads of parasols and outdoor play for the toddlers, including a cd player playing constant nursery rhymes, and a bubble machine. She is one of those people that just has to be heard so I can hear her 2 gardens away. Then she has the older ones on the trampoline, with one of her kids that competes with his mother to be the loudest of them all.
Then the kids start whining. Sometimes her husband or the kids start screaming at the minded kids to "just shut up for gods sake"
Then you have the pick up and drop off. Loud "Say bye to Mummy" while the kid is wailing at 6.30 am. Then the kid is crying again at 6.30 - 7pm when the dad picks it up because its tired after being over stimulated all day.
In the holidays she brags of having 14 kids to look after. Its a freaking nightmare. (Kids over a certain age don't get counted by ofsted she tells me!)0 -
She's right, kids over 8 don't count for Ofsted.
But I would be seriously unhappy with any childminder that told a child of mine to "shut up, for God's sake".0
