Back in the 80s when I was a kid I had a cheap Casio watch which showed the time in all the different time zones in the world... Anyway, it had a countdown alarm, and I'm pretty sure I remember there being a setting to toggle the alarm between going off once when the countdown finished, and automatically re-starting the countdown (so, it would sound the alarm every X minutes).
It looks like the model I had has long since been discontinued, but maybe there's a similar watch that could do this. I'm not sure such a minor feature would be listed on the specifications though... Are there any cheap high street jewellers that might be able to point out a suitable watch and let you test the countdown alarm...?0 -

Yep a watch with a countdown timer should do the trick, my analogue citizen watch had a countdown timer and it kept the set countdown time. But not moving around 3 times in an hour is well sedenatary :eek:0 -
There is also this at Amazon:

I hope you find something, and I wish I could have found it for my dad 25 years ago, when he needed it in the same way.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

This on eBay, but ships from the US.
Timer - set the timer to alert once or to repeat itself, vibrating or beeping at any interval you choose for as long as you like. Can set it in seconds, minutes and hours, up to 999 hours. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Is there a smartphone app that forces you to read the OP before replying?Charlton_King wrote: »My guess, especially after doing a bit of research already, is that this does not exist except as some 'app' for a few hundred poundsworth of smart phone which I have no intention whatsoever of buying.0 -
I teach and I bought a magnetic kitchen timer from Asda for a few quid. It is permanently set to 10 mins, and I just press stop when it beeps and start to get it going again - always 10 minute intervals.
