Roboform In Google Chrome Help Please

Is anyone having problems with Roboform in Google Chrome the last couple of days? Its driving me around the bend :rotfl:

I'm not very good at explaining things, but basically the toolbar keeps disappearing.

If I'm on a page in the forums and the toolbar is there I will click the link to a comp on a thread and it will open in a new tab and then the toolbar will disappear in the new tab. So I then click the little green man and the show toolbar box is already ticked so I close the options then it reappears. Then I will enter the comp, shut the tab, hit back on the forums to go to the next comp and the toolbar is gone again.

I have tried re installing Chrome, re installing Roboform and nothing has helped.

Any suggestions? :)

    Hi Tink,

When you right click the little green man thing in the top corner and click options, there's a little tick box that says show lower toolbar and it normally on the bottom then and stays there.

It's driving me mad now, I think im going to have to use firefox instead. Chrome seems to be running a bit slow as well, ive done 2 virus scans but nothing showing up. :)

Hi,i have the same problem! I think it has been caused by a chrome update.I rolled back my laptop to before the problem started and it started working properly again but then chrome updated and the problem started again.

If i click a tab that is already open and then back to the new tab the toolbar reappears.I have reported the problem to roboform and am waiting for them to get back to me

Not much consolation, but I'm glad it's not just me having this problem!

The only thing I can add to the discussion is that I got a pop-up message this morning about Chrome disabling some extensions which it thought had been installed without my permission. One of these was AVG security, which I have since re-enabled.

Haven't got any further yet, but will try rolling back either Chrome or the PC to before the update and then seeing if I can stop Chrome doing the recent updates.

Thank you both, I thought it was just my computer and have spent the afternoon re installing windows which hasn't helped! Mind you there was some virus toolbar thing that cropped up from nowhere so it was worthwhile. Hopefully they will do an update for us soon, in the meantime I best catch up on some comps in firefox :)
  • I've had this problem too, but luckily it went away when i rebooted the laptop - i'm one of those lazy peeps that usually just shuts the lid without closing down !
  • In Chrome window click on 'Customize & Control Google Chrome' (3 horizontal bars - top right)

    Go to Tools - Extensions

Under Roboform select 'Options' then tick 'Show lower Roboform toolbar'

Toolbar should then be visible at bottom of browser window and hopefully stay there.

  • I don't bother with Roboform in Chrome. The Autofill function works just as well :)

Thanks compsalex - this used to fix it when it occasionally went missing, but it doesn't if your version of Chrome has updated itself to v25.xxx

Restoring the PC to a couple of days ago (which still has Chrome v24.xxx) has fixed the Roboform problem for now, but this causes a further problem as the Chrome profile was created by the later version and it pops up a warning that some features may not be available. The one that I've noticed is that it seems to have lost my autofills, which is also very annoying.
  • To be perfectly honest, unless you have no choice in the matter, i wouldn't bother using Chrome at all. Each to their own I suppose.
