Does anyone know which banks will accept poor credit history

Does anyone know what banks will accept you for an account with bad credit history.

I'm trying to rebuild it by gaining a good relationship with a bank. I'm currently with rbs but not finding them the best if I must be honest

Why don't you check out the thread that says Basic Bank Account Thread at the top of the forum, that will tell you which banks will.

  • Well I'm clearly asking advice from anyone in the same position. Not sure which one is the best .... Reviews are much better to make a decision

There's plenty of reviews in the thread mentioned, so why don't you go and read it.

What's right for one person will be somebody else's nightmare. Check the list of basic accounts at the top of the forum.

When you say bad credit history do you have any defaults or CCJs.

It may be worth looking at a basic bank account.

Personally id recommend the Barclays cash account:

Remember the right of setoff. A bank can recover any money it is owed from other accounts you may hold with them. It's something to bear in mind if you have outsanding debts.

    Who was sarcastic?

If you want constructive answers to your questions, it pays to show some humbleness, rather than attacking people who are helping in their spare time.

You may not like the answers you get, but that doesn't make the answers any less valid. Sit back and have a think about it - - if you want to get out of the rut you are in, you have to change something. Perhaps your attitude to start with.
