What network is the phone locked to ?

Thanks, but it's saying it can't unlock. I guess I'm going to have to go and pay for it!!

What message did it say ?

it wasn't the code not recognised, but something along the lines of cannot undo restriction

yeah that means its hardlocked so only cable and hardware can unlock it for around £5

When I unlocked my 6230i (about 18 months ago) with help from the guys on here,:A I seem to remember that you had to put a sim from another network in before entering the code.

IE: my phone was locked to O2, I put an Orange sim in and entered the code generated. Bingo, Bob was most definitely my mother's brother.:T

6230i you have to put a different sim card in the phone before you enter the code, the 6230 you have to have no sim card in before you enter it.
