So, I'm using my new (Vista) laptop and keeping an eye on what's using my RAM up, and to my surprise my beloved firefox is being very greedy.
My question is; The best browser for a small system footprint?
Cheers

Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
How about IE7? Is it more resource hungry than Opera?Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

LOL I heard that one before. Perhaps I'll listen to you and steer clear of IE7. I do find Opera better anyway.

I personally use firefox over I.E because its more secure than I.E currently and over Opera because Opera sometimes has problems displaying some websites correctly. albeit, no fault of its own
Opera has less resource usage than I.E and Firefox with multiple tabs open. Its about individual choice at the end as they all are quite good overall.

Hmmm maybe I should play some more with Opera (got it on my PC , bit use firefox) as I always have a minimum of 3 tabs on the go but more usually upwards of 5/6 and sometimes many moreHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

Thanks all,
I'm using opera now for the first time. Smaller foot print for sure, but awful rendering; very slow scrolling. I think I can live with it when i need to. It may be a Vista thing.

Could just require a reboot as you have just loaded it up. I remember when i had it running the scroll was faster than that of Firefox and I.E.0 -
