Vasectomy Reversal

How much does it cost?
I had the snip when I was 22. Stupid choose I know.
I was not thinking long time. I was in the Army and I thought I new what I wanted.
I want to get a Vasectomy Reversal, as I have read that the longer you leave it the less chance you have of it being succesful.

I have read the risks and the percentage of success.
But am just wondering how much it costs to get done?
Proud to be dealing with my debts

depending on your reasons and situation u can get them done on the NHS - i know two people who had vasectomies reversed on the NHS - speak to your GP. For both those men the reversal was successful and they went on to have children..and one had had a vasectomy done for at least 10 years b4 having the reversal.

    Good luck. maverick xx

How long ago did you have it done? My oh had his reversed 3 years ago 4 years after he had it done, We were told that there is a 50% change of it working but lile you say the longer you leave it the lower the chance The NHS wouldnt pay for it even though I didint have any children. It cost just over £2000 at BUPA, It was worth every penny as I fell pregnant within 6 months!

Do you mean hes had a Vasectomy and now wants a reversal? You will have to ask your GP but I wouldnt get your hopes up, We didnt have children together and we couldnt get it done on the nhs, I think they will only reverse it for exceptional reasons

i wonder if it depends on what funding the Hospital Trust has available what the criteria are? The two men i knew who had it done were with partners and just wanted children together - nothing desperately exception i don't think. one had children by a previous relationship (obviously conceived before the snip), one didn't...
it's worth asking anyway..they can only say no, eh?

At the time I was suprised that they wouldnt fund it as I didnt have children , I feel very lucky that it worked for us and Im very greatfull even if we cant have any more. After the op he was told that his sperm count was very low and they offered us even more treatment which I turned down as I was pregnant allready. It was great ringing the hospitla and telling the secerity we didnt need any more treatment!

We got a loan out to pay for it, How horible would it have been paying back a loan every month for somthing that didnt work.
