Does anyone know how many MBNA credit cards are you allowed to have at anyone time...?

They have just written to me and increased my limit from £18,000 to £23,000 without me asking and having a zero balance on the card for over six months. Not sure what their motivates are. The only thing that has changed is I have moved homes. I wonder if they "think" they can tempt me to spend the money on the new house.

You can call them up and ask them to review it but they are quite strict and may ask for the account to be open 12 months.

i have generally found them to be reluctant to increase limits.. but i Have managed to get them to let me have a second card and then allow me to merge the limits of the two accounts into one..thereby gambling my CL up nicely.
