Hi all,
Hester - thoughts are with you and your family x
Cold here, have folded and put the heating on
Made Bakewell Tarts this morning - popped into a neighbor (90) who lost her husband recently, gave her a tart, couple of scones, big wedge of chocolate cake, a wodge of ginger cake and a cuddle, she misses him so much, they had no kids and were everything to each other - lovely couple and great neighbors - told her off as she had a fall the other night and stuggled to get up - she has our number in case of emergencies, but didn,t think that counted, luckily apart from a peach of a bruise she,s okay.
Went to Mr L and spend £70, this did include a box of wine as we have visitors this weekend and a 2.5k lump of beef, did give it a poke to make sure it Moo,d not Neighed :rotfl: will chop into 3, each bit will make a stew or roast plus 2 pies, so 12 meals min for £4 bargin
Also bought a chicken and a bag of frozen Lamb chops, will see us for meat for a couple of weeks, have some mince and sausages in freezer already.
Was surprised that orange juice has gone up to £1.12 from 99p, will have to keep an eye on our regular buys creeping up.
Anyway enough of me blathering on...
Have a fab day all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi chums ,brrr, blooming freezing here in north Kent we had a few sprinkles of snow but nothing laying so far.Its the wind thats really biting cold My lovely builder chap Keith has finished my hall and stairs and I only have to wait until 5th March for the stairlift chap to come and take my lift off and then the carpet man comes an hour later and puts my new carpet down then the stair lift chap returns and puts my lift back on I have organised it really well so fingers crossed all goes to plan.
Keith really did a super job and even put me a shelf up in the kitchen which is really useful as I seem to have accumulated lots of lock'n'lock boxes which were taking over my units
:) Kitchen looks so much better now .Eldest DD is travelling back tonight from Torquay with her OH and her in-laws so I hope they get home ok and don't have too many hold-ups on the motorways
DGS Ben came round to borrow my computer room to do his coursework in peace away from the three younger ones and I fed him a baconand onion bagel which he loves,so he went off a happy boy.
Tonight I am going to a quiz night at the Gravend Hospice and I'm looking forward to that as its lots of fun and there is a good crowd.I have found a couple of bottles of wine to donate as prizes for the raffle from the cupboards.
Hope everyone is wrapped up and keeping warm I shall be layered up when I go out this evening
Take care folks

Afternoon all,
Confession time I did not get up until 10 this morning
:o my lovely OH bought me a cuppa at 7 which I drunk and went straight back to sleep, I have not been sleeping well, have got something on my mind, and I have had terrible nightmares the last 2 nights, so must have needed the sleep.
However since I got up, I have showered, cleaned kitchen and bathroom, hoovered and moped downstairs, been to see dad and walked the dog, it was a bitter walk and we were both glad to get home.
Pie and garlic roast spuds for dinner, just need to shove it in the oven, peeled spuds earlier.
Hester, that poor little might, hope for a good recovery for her xx
Jools, how's everything love ? xx

Evening All
HH - Love and hugs to the wee one and her family, hope she's well soon.
JackieO - Good to hear you're pleased with your decorating, always nice when you have a freshly decorated room!
Very cold here, -1 when I went to work but no frost. Felt like about -20 when I was stood in the playground this morning. Sold some more stuff from the garage, met the chap on my way home from work and he handed over the money and a box of sweeties as he said sending the photos and meeting him was a big help so will be having some of those later, very nice of him.
Put a load of towels on the line before I went to work and it was just about dry when I got in, strange when it didn't get above 2 degrees. Still, I wont complain!
LO pasta bolognaise for tea so not much cooking, going to relax tonight and have an early night. Take care. XX0
